Why aren't we getting paid to use a freehosting?
 

Sponsors pay us a % to use their hosted galleries;
gallery makers pay us to display their galleries;
Why aren't we getting paid to use free hosts considering we run the risk of being blacklisted, we're advertising their brandname, etc?

Uhm.. you get free hosting, right? Which means you save an awful lot of dough on bandwidth.

You'd make more money using your own domain and paying your own bandwidth but hey, free hosting is free hosting at a price; the price being less sales for you. BUT, consider the money saved on NOT having to pay the bandwidth.

Asking that kind of question is like going to a car dealer and asking him to give you a car for free and pay whichever costs might be involved in you driving it. Without giving him anything in return.

Does that make sense?

I think this is a great idea.

I think you should start a host that pays people to use them. Do it before everyone else steals your idea though.

They used to laugh when TGP owners started asking to be paid to list galleries.

We heard in mother Russia a host is paying webmasters to use them. :)

free hosts have tons of problems with cheaters, if there was a free host that paid webmasters there would be even more cheaters. it could turn into a nightmare.

i could see a free host paying tgp's to list their webmasters galleries, but not the webmaster. that would be a more likely scenario.

It more hard work using a free host, try finding TGP and LL that'll accept your gallery/free site on a free work! You should get paid or at least share part of the income to get them the exposure they need to survive and prosper.

They pay you in bandwidth. If you feel cheated by free hosts, you could always move to paid hosting.

they'd get more exposure by paying tgp's and link lists. if webmasters knew they could get listed without spending money on bandwidth they would use the free host.

Free content, free hosted galleries, bannerless free hosting, the only way anyone could make it easier for the newbs is if someone starts a program where they just pay you for signing up and not sending any traffic.....

First, I'm only referring to the good honest free hosts like Lightning Free and Smutserver, King Host, and a few others.... (the cheating free hosts should die).

But these good guys already pay all the bamdwidth, and tech time, and hardware etc..... and the tiny amount of money they make from their ads can't be much after all the costs.

But LL and TGP are webmasters:)
And webmasters have alternative ways of generating more traffic beside the use of LL and TGP.

But I do use pay hosts and do pay for 75%+ of the bandwidth generated by my and some of my partners network of sites.

webmasters are getting free bandwidth. people don't use free hosts for search engine traffic. the majority uses it for tgp's which sucks bandwidth. if the free host could get listed on the top tgp's there would be no need to pay webmasters to use the free host.

it's enough that sponsors have pretty damn high payouts already, with the market changing and all, adult affiliates have always made more than any other industry, except maybe casino, but they arent exactly the most honest guys around anyhow.
sponsors now make galleries for you, so that takes out a shitload of work on your part, free hosts host your galleries in exchange for some traffic, another chunk of work and cash given back to you. then theres the tgp's. they fuckin do the work on getting the traffic to your galleries.. jesus christ, are you complaining about it being so hard to press a few buttons or submit a few galleries? if you aren't making any cash doing this, then you are in the wrong business, and you need to be shot for being such a moron.
