Oppressed != communist. The USA had the most oppressive laws among so-called developed countries a long time before Obama. E.g.: a death penalty (WTF in the 21 century???), extremely long prison times (in the USA you can get a few hundreds of years even for economic crimes), the US government has a right to spy on any citizen (absolutely legally), kill anyone who is suspected to be a terrorist (absolutely legally), torture the citizens with waterboarding and other sadistic methods (absolutely legally) etc.

I was all for Obama once. Even though I knew he was just another politician liar. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I believed people that didn't like him were racist.

The whole "fascism is right-wing" meme was developed and pushed by left-wingers as a means to slander, de-legitimize and taint right wingers and capitalism.

The truth is that in practice fascism has had elements of both left-wing and right wing, and both socialist and capitalist philosophies.
