Since there was another thread about how much actually goes to the various organizations programs, some here may be swayed by their infographic showing that 86.1% of received funds go to the programs, 9.8% to fundraising, and 4.1% to administration.

The concern in that thread wasn't that the Charity administration and general operating costs would eat into the donation, but that the vast majority of the (in this case) 86.1% of the amount that was allocated to be dispersed locally wouldn't reach its intended destination due to the levels of corruption and amount of people whose fingers would be in the pie before it got there.... not to mention the aid trucks already reported as having been hijacked en route.
Personally I support Charities being run by professional managers and directors and believe that the expertise in fundraising, marketing, infrastructure development and logistics etc that these people bring to the table in most cases more than warrants the salaries that they receive. The fact that we even know how much most of these people earn, is due to the transparency and accountability that exists.
