BBM questions
 

So the blackberry messenger thing is totally new to me, never used it. I'm getting lots of requests to add people now that the app is out for other os'es. I signed up for an account and I got a pin. The pin sucks, totally unmemorable. Looks like there's no way to change it or request your own, correct? Is anyone selling "good" pins? Any way at all to transfer them?

No .... and no.

BBM pins are unique identifiers for your device - they are not a vanity license plates.

Send your barcode to people or put it on your business card/website.

PINS used to be tied to your device, but now are tied to your Blackberry ID account. That way all your contacts stay with you, when you switch out devices, SIMS or phone numbers. Just log in with your user/pass and good to go.

Still a bit confused. Seems like as Axeman says, this is now tied to your ID (and email) not your phone, so it should be portable. Thus transferrable.
