Wizzo 11-11-2013 01:39 PM

They have citizens that born in prison camps that are serving time for things their grandparents did, so this no is surprise, that is one fucked up country.

Mindy was insanely hot.

I would watch her make ice cubes.

Pretty clean :)

I love it when people try to compare the US to "Nazi German". LOL. This is a great example of what a government can do...

L-Pink 11-11-2013 02:08 PM

My dreams of opening a Blockbuster video store in one of their special economic zones takes another blow.

seeandsee 11-11-2013 02:11 PM

How did they know all that info for real?

xNetworx 11-11-2013 02:23 PM

I hope the little butterball running that country catches a hot one sooner than later

Well, some of us see the writing on the wall and are wanting to change the direction the country is headed.

Of course, we are not there yet and it would be nice if 100 years from now people don't say, "If only they had done something back in 2013!"

DWB 11-11-2013 03:13 PM

How do you get caught watching something on TV? Call me crazy, but if I knew I could be killed for watching a TV channel, and I still had to watch it, I would do so very privately.

The fuck are you rambling on about?

blackmonsters 11-11-2013 03:23 PM

Good!

South Korean TV fucking sucks.

That'll teach 'em; watch better shit!

Nice propaganda piece... :1orglaugh

Amazed that so many of you are so quick to believe reports of rumors. :helpme

At least a few people reading the article on the HuffPo were skeptical:

Quote:

Isn't this a bit too sensational to be published without proper verification? Or is it okay to just skip that part because it's "so hard" to verify things about the DPRK?

Do you often base your reports on rumours published in hawkish newspapers, belonging to one of the participants in a conflict/war?
Quote:

'Rumors lent credibility?' Excuse me, but no they don't.
Quote:

So when rumors aren't verified as facts it is ok to print them as facts?
Quote:

Is this true or SK propaganda? I would think verifying public executions shouldn't be too hard????
Quote:

I love how every time fringe groups in South Korea make something up, Americans immediately accept it as true and every single news organization in the country falls over themselves to get the "inside scoop" from people who have a vested interest in lying constantly to us.

Oh well, I guess our media is just happy that they can print someone else's lies for a change instead of just their own.

We execute more people before 9am than most countries execute all day...PS: we use drones to do the killing - say it was a "threat to national security" and you are good to go. No one will question you and you don't need to provide any evidence.
Curious why this isn't reported in the N. Korean press if it was a "public" execution, supposedly carried out for the purpose of intimidating people, since if the Commies kept the executions a secret it wouldn't be very useful as a deterrent to others. :upsidedow

They have to watch it on VHS. So they shut down the power to the whole building. Locking the tape inside, then they can check out what they were watching.

Seems crazy, im in korea right now, and just asked my wife. Did North Korea do this?
She just shrugged and said, yeah probably. :(

Spreading untrue rumors about a government will help prevent human rights abuse? :upsidedow

Let's work on real documented abuse. At home might be a good place to start:

You haven't heard of the N. Korean executions for just about anything before? How do you think they could keep such a large population enslaved for so long...

Pointing out anti-North Korean propaganda does not make one pro-North Korea. :2 cents:

I was a History major in college with a focus on East Asia studies, I lived in Asia for over a decade altogether, and I am generally interested in the region (and the world), so I think it's safe to say that I know some of what you are speaking about.

BTW, I've even been to South Korea, but not North Korea; I wasn't allowed to travel to North Korea, or any communist countries due to my military duties and security clearance (I spent 4 years of my Navy career on a staff command in Japan, and then a few years chasing mostly Russian submarines in patrol aircraft).

I think that I am fairly passionate when it comes to human rights, so yes I would like to see some positive change in the North Korean government. Since I am more affected by and better informed about human rights problems in this country, I focus most of my energy there. The more human rights we have in the USA, the better we can help other countries achieve improvements in their human rights.

History major, and you ended selling porn... I know that story.

If they were watching the Kardashians, then they deserved it. If that was the only thing they could watch, then it was a mercy killing

Yeah, and I sold about a hundred million dollars worth of computers and networking equipment before that. (really)

http://www.pinklabel.tv/on-demand/wp...e-IntoPorn.jpg

I earned a teaching credential but have never formally taught or wrote books (what I originally intended to do). Had I known then what I know now, I would have been a Film major. :winkwink:

Still received a kickass humanities-based education, and learned even more about life/myself outside of the classroom during those years, so overall, no major regrets (except for the Film school thing).

FYI, I really did stumble into the adult industry (back in 2000), and I've been stumbling ever since... :helpme

north korea on the radar ->
'white house down' released where the terrorists were asian, after the cold war where the bad guys were always russian, and later always arabs ->
this news report and many to follow ->
western civilization brainwashing complete that north koreans are evil.

Mission accomplished!

North Korea installs the TVs in your house and they make it so it will show if you tamper with it, the government routinely does "TV Checks" to verify you are not watching anything else.

There is lots of information about the policies of North Korea from North Koreans that have managed to get away and there are pages upon pages worth of North Koreans reporting living conditions and the torture performed in the labor camps.

topnotch, standup guy 11-12-2013 05:09 AM

Let's try applying this logic to the USA...

Watching "bad" TV channels like Faux News perhaps?

Hardly a capitol offense. Flogging maybe, but not a capitol offense.

I'd have been cool with us executing the top 800 shysters that profited from the 2007-2008 financial collapse however.

They have "inspectors" in their own communities who go into your house and check the frequencies on the televisions. If it's been rigged to watch anything but NK frequencies, you're fucked.
