I don't really know how to feel about all the research you do on me. You find things I've posted both within threads started by others and in threads I started myself. The things you find take time and dedication, which is why I'm convinced you have some deeper question you're really asking. I've been in the same place myself, and later realized my questions had to do with God, and I projected them onto Christians I knew.

I've made peace with many of the anti-God comments I've made in the past. There are answers to the questions I had and there are answers to yours as well.

Yes, ADG, there are hypocrites who claim to believe in God. Whether or not I'm one of them from your point of view has nothing to do with YOU and God, however. You've got to separate God from those who claim to follow or represent him. Should a person make judgment calls about YOU based on the behavior of your fans? Of course not. My opinions of you should be based only on your own merits. And since I am not around you each day, I can't really make any sort of judgment about you as a person at all, but only about you as a board character. The same concept applies to your judgment of me based on what you've read online or heard from others, or of opinions you form about God based on people you know who claim to be Christian.

I'd like to point out that your hard on for me is based almost entirely on what you have read online. That's not a very intelligent way to judge someone. You're above that. We don't live far apart. Let's meet for coffee. I love taking trips to the bay. I'll come over this week and sit and BS with you for as long as you have the time. I'm a major introvert so I don't particularly enjoy large groups, but I love conversation with individuals if it's interesting.

With all due respect, that conversation would be fruitless and a waste of breath. God folk are convinced in an invisible being ruling every facet of existence. Atheist believe god folk are complete morons. There is no common ground to start your conversation.

I do find it amusing most non believers have very liberal views on personal choice and freedoms. Except when it comes to religious people. Gays can marry but god people cant believe in fairy tales.

The conversation wouldn't have to be about God. It could be about anything.

Two teens live with me and would attest to the fact that I don't preach to them. I lack the missionary drive to convert people. I believe we were given free will by God, and get to choose how we use it.

As for your comment about Christians doing really messed up things, it's true. But can you deny that is also true about nearly every other group of people on the planet? No group has a monopoly on poor behavior.

And, yes, like a perfect parent, God forgives. Over and over and over again.

All that said, I like debating things related to religion and don't mind sharing my personal perspectives on such matters.

Would you call it hypocritical for an industry filled with people who champion tolerance to deny tolerance to ANYONE? Even if I am viewed as an intolerant bigot, being intolerant to those who are intolerant is still... intolerant. There is nothing honorable in being "open minded" only with those with which one agrees. If a person cannot tolerate my religious views on an adult forum, that person has no moral high ground whatsoever on the likes of the Westboro Baptist crowd, no?

I come here because interesting things are often discussed, and by people from all over the world. This isn't really a "porn board" as much as it's an international discussion forum. If it was strictly porn - and such places do exist - I wouldn't be here.

I suggested the other day that ADG seems obsessed with you; it now seems the shoe is on the other foot.

Rather than bumping all of the threads in which he was addressing me, I chose to start my own. I saw it as consolidation. I find it disappointing you see it as obsession.

I recommend that ADG take Donny up on meeting up and shooting the shit. Donny is actually quite intelligent and is VERY educated on God and the bible. Even though I am Agnostic and don't believe in 'God' I found Donny to be very interesting to talk to on the subjects. We've actually discussed some readings in the bible and the both of us agreed some were way out there and not something we found believable.

Donny is not ALL God and doesn't have to have god or the bible as the subject in his discussions. He REALLY isn't a nut he's just bored very easily and always up for a challenge.

My only problem with Donny is that he is caught up in the 49ers even after all the Seahawks I've crammed down his throat :1orglaugh
