Not the Best Day

$400 for tickets plus gas plus food plus souvenirs purchased at the game plus all that driving time, and my Niners get beat by a point in an ultra low scoring game. Bleh.

Next time try sacrificing a chicken and pouring the blood on a football with the opposite teams name on it. Then twirl around three times with your eyes closed.

bean-aid 11-10-2013 11:04 PM

I'm glad i did not put money on the game.

Go Seahawks!

ExtremeBank_Adam 11-10-2013 11:06 PM

$5000 a year for season tickets, and our Bucs are 0-8. :321GFY

I just want to take my son to a game we actually WIN. I've taken him to 3 Niner games so far and we've lost all three. He had a blast anyway, but it bugs the crap out of me.

BaliPimp 11-11-2013 12:28 AM

The team should ban you from attending games!

I'm not one of those who believe God will interfere in the free will of others simply because I ask him to do it. One reason he doesn't influence the outcomes of sporting events is free will: all the decisions made on the field are made by men who have it. I believe those players can pray for clarity in seeing opportunities, and God would answer, but I do not believe He would interfere with the performance of other players by making them play a poor game or anything similar to that.

Free will is also the reason bad things happen to good people: true free will wouldn't exist if God only allowed good and stopped bad, because that would interfere with the free will of "bad" people. A person who uses their free will to do bad things often impacts the innocent.

Yes, I realize you were just being funny and I'm over analyzing. :)

The Bucs are shit. I don't even bother watching them from home. That new coach Schiano is an asshat.

Wibble

Don't know about that. So far my praying has the Chiefs at 9-0. (Took a couple of sacrificial virgins too but it's worth it).

I agree. Don't know why he hasn't been fired yet, but I guess they're just gonna tank the rest of the season to hopefully get the #1 pick.

BaliPimp 11-11-2013 11:33 AM

Who do you think they will pick fist?

Tell me about it Donny! Can you imagine living in Raven Country and have your mighty 49ers lose to these ravens on the last 4 times they played the Ravens!?!?!

I have to sit here and listen to these arrogant insufferable ravens fans!?!

Sure it was a dog fight, but we had 5 starters get injured yesterday and still only lost by a point near the end of the game.

It was good that manningham and aldon smith came back and took this loss now.

I think in another 2-3 weeks when it is all coming together and manningham, crabtree, aldon smith, and tank carradine have all played and have shaken the rust off, we will be a force to wreckin with.

Also if Vernon Davis does not get a concussion there was no way carolina would have won yesterday.

We had no real offensive passing deep threat at all yesterday.

I saw coach give an interview and did not realize we had no tight end personnel available.

No Celek, no Vernon Davis meant we had no tight end formations to utilize which took a huge and significant chunk of our offense capability away.

I will admit the panthers came to play and I lost count of injured player after injured player coming off the field for the niners!

I am proud of the way we played even with so many hurt they fought to the bitter end.

We are still in a good spot and may have to focus on a wild card spot in the playoffs but I will take a wild card spot with this teams capability any day!

Beats me... if Schiano is still there, probably someone from Rutgers, lol.

Bridgewater maybe, perhaps Johnny Football.

I actually don't follow college football too closely. My daughter goes to UF, and I'll watch their games, but Saturday's I'm usually out on the boat. :)

pretty sure it's over for them 49ers now.

they were decimated by the hard hitting panthers, who came to candlestick and hit those niners in the nutsack time and again.

now there's serious concern about sf injuries, let's also take a gander at their next 4 games

saints

redskins

rams

seattle

adios 49ers.

We'll see. None of those teams are so "better than the Niners" that victory is guaranteed. I think all of them will have their work cut out for them, and the Niners will claim more W's than L's from your list.

CDSmith 11-11-2013 12:25 PM

Hmm... let's see here. Donny has attended three niner games, and those happen to be the 3 games they've lost.

Hmm.

Donny... could it be YOU are jinxing them? Yes, I think YOU are jinxing them big time. Stop it. Now.

Seriously, my mood is never affected by things I can't control, like 'the weather', or if my team loses. Especially on a day like you're describing, a day out with your son, to a football game with thousands of people and hotdogs and cheerleaders, too much soda for sonny boy and maybe a beer or two for dad. And you're saying that it's niners losing that dictates whether it's a bad day or not??? Come on. :disgust

Sounds like an incredibly awesome day to me. Yes, would have been that much better with a win but still awesome in so many other ways, no?

I said "Not the Best Day" on purpose. It was a great day. Said so on Facebook. It just wasn't the BEST day because my Niners didn't win. I've been to many, many games. But I've taken my son to just 3. I wanted him to experience a win and was more disappointed that wasn't the case than anything. We'll likely not be back this year, which means he will never have the personal experience of a Niner victory at the Stick. Since, for me, Candlestick park will always be associated with the best Niner games of all times, I'm disappointed my son didn't get to see one there in person. I really wanted that, badly.

on any given sunday.

that's been my point all along, this is the nfl, these are multi-billion dollar business created and built to win on sundays. and any one of them can. the differential between great and sucky at the nfl level is minute. it's magnified due to the nature of competition, television, etc, et al.

Sorry Donny, it appears the common denominator is your attendance. I think you should give me your tickets the next time and see if that changes things. I predict it will.
