Awesome! I will be there around 6pm. See you there!
|
I'll be thinking of you over there on a tropical island drinking cocktails from here in a freezing wet London - I'm not bitter though...
You see that waiter over there taking a call? - That's me on the phone - Your next drink has a little gift in it from me..... Are you 100% sure?.. Muwahhaaa..... |
Who wants to be in hot sunny Curacao when they could be stuck in cold dark freezing just-about-to-snow Montreal? While you'll have your toes stuck in the sand, I'll have my car stuck in the snow! Shovelling kicks-ass, sucker! Suck it JFK!

Snowy is good, snow = $$. Most of the richest countries has snow seasons. Those who do not usually are poor. Work ethics probably due to climate.

See you Thursday!!

I always wondered what was the real sense of these kind of gatherings.
Yes, I can understand a big sponsor or a payment system going there, it's probably not an expense for them. You see always the same faces in those places. Just take a look at this thread, always the same people going there. You can also see affiliate managers who don't lose anything, because they get all expenses covered for going there. But for the regular affiliate? Nothing will change for them. They won't make a difference going to that place. Wasting 5K on the trip and getting nothing in return? At max, they could talk to some Affiliate Manager and get what? A special deal? A 60% revshare instead of 55%? A discount in hosting? Not really worth it. Specially in a shrinking business. This said, if 90% of people going there are either sponsor owners, photographers, content sellers, affiliate managers, payment systems, traffic brokers, etc... It really makes no sense. You barely have some affiliates to talk to. It makes no sense, seriously. :2 cents: |

Now, its become B2B Conventions. :2 cents: |
its nice to do the show circuit every now and then just to show folks youre still around and active in the industry. they're not what they used to be thats for sure. but still good folks

If any of you decide to visit Aruba (15 min flight) while you are there (or when the gathering is over) Hit me up for a beer.. Or two :banana

You live in ARUBA, you are 15 mins from Curacao and you are not going to this gathering???? :disgust And even more... You tell people who travel from far far away to Curacao, you are telling them to go to Aruba???? dude, move your lazy ass and go to that gathering, you have no excuses here. You are 15 mins away from it. The funny thing is that you tell people that come from Holland, to move their asses and go from Curacao to Aruba, because you can't travel only 100 KM to go to the island just in front of your home. That's fucked up. And if you are really involved in the Mainstream Tourism industry, you should know this very well. This is exactly what I was talking about in my post above. Nothing personal, but I had to comment on this, because nobody else would. :2 cents: |
