One of my favorite acoustic guitar instrumentals (Zappa's softer melodic side):

Although I was a longtime Frank Zappa fan, and his live shows were incredible, I only saw him perform twice...

The sheer scope and volume of music Zappa created is probably unparalleled...

i love Sleep dirt and how you can hear the plectrum on the strings, very pure.
You can hear Zappa's classical background.
Shame that this dude's fingers got stuck, track is too short :)

Unfortunately I've never seen Zappa perform live :( my older brother did sometime in the 80's when he was performing in Rotterdam (Holland)
I do plan to see his son Dweezil though..

Frank Zappa's family has done a great job to help keep his legacy alive (hard to believe Zappa is 20 years gone already, RIP).

Saw Zappa in about 1983 at Sunrise Musical Theater in Florida.

Look up cool in the dictionary and his photo is there.
His guitar playing was great, his licks were very unconventional and he did some blazing fast riffs. I was like.... WTF?

He was a genius and a very underrated guitar player.
