DinoReviews.com runs on a custom script.
Spamotion is a fully blown WordPress theme that I intended to sell on ThemeForest. It didn't work out, but the site makes up for a nice portfolio piece.
But yes, in general the html/css/js code in both cases had to be hand coded before integrating it with CMS.

There's a lot of variables in this, obviously, we can discuss it in private.
