I saw this gun laying there on a bench one time. Pulled a knife on it and told it to freeze. It didn't move. I said "Hey gun, don't even think about shooting anyone" -- it still didn't move.

As I picked it up it surrendered peacefully.

Took it to the nearest cop I could find, you know, to inform him I'd made a citizen's arrest of a dangerous gun. The second he saw the gun though he arrested ME. For doing the right thing.

I got two years and a thousand dollar fine.

The gun? I hear it's back on the street. Doing bad gun things. All on it's own. Bad guns. They get away with murder I tell you. Always some human getting jail time though, never the gun!

I wish I was a gun.

True story.

Nobody dead, nothing to see here.

You get 200,000,000 people living in the same area, shit's bound to happen.

As far as I'm concerned (at least what I'm watching live), seems like a tragedy diverted.

When the guy with the gun runs out of ammo, that's the time you need to ask this question. :2 cents:

brassmonkey 11-01-2013 11:23 AM

the gunman walks up to some guy and ask if he's tsa :uhoh he says no and he walks away.

The TSA employee just died according to CNN.

I believe People with guns kill people.... less access to guns would definitely be a good idea. You rarely hear about things like this happening in Europe. We've had 2 in LA in the past few months - Santa Monica College shooting and this.

Best-In-BC 11-01-2013 02:06 PM

Rather not, if proximity to guns was the issue whats going up in Canada, how come we're not killing everyone ?

What 'shit' are you referring to? I buy the thick cut hickory smoked bacon from Harvest.

8 bucks a pound.

You have barely 35 million compared to our 350 million over way more square miles and you have to stay inside all the time to be warm.

In order to kill anyone you'd need to invite them over for bacon and maple syrup but they already have some so, you shrug and criticize American violence while you wait for the sun to come back up and warm your city to just below freezing.

UPDATE: UPI reports that the suspect, 23-year-old Paul Anthony Ciancia who is reportedly not a TSA officer as previously reported, had ?writings? on him indicating he may have embraced ?strong anti-government views.?

From NBC:
NBC News? Pete Williams reported that the suspect is Paul Anthony Ciancia, a 23-year-old resident of LA, with no direct connection to the TSA. He had ?anti-government materials? on him at the time.

UPDATE: The media is now reporting that the gunman was not an off-duty TSA officer, which is a strange flip flop from earlier when law enforcement sources said that he was. This can now be exploited to justify further TSA abuse of power, which would have not been possible if the shooter had been a TSA agent.

The L.A. Times reports: ?A federal law enforcement official said that the gunman was a ticketed passenger entering the airport. Officials don?t believe the gunman has ever worked for TSA. Law enforcement sources had earlier told The Times the gunman was a TSA employee.?

So the narrative changes as our overlords weigh the potential impact of the information their children receive.

Barry-xlovecam 11-01-2013 05:37 PM

Let's see if I got this right: Disgruntled TSA "customer" goes postal -- yep. From what I read so far this guy was just a anti-government nutter.
