Politics Canadia style... AYE?
Toronto Police Have Video of Mayor Apparently Smoking Crack
Newser) ? Toronto Mayor Rob Ford just got some very bad news: Police say they've finally got their hands on a notorious video that purports to show him smoking crack, reports the Toronto Star. Or as the police chief puts it, ?The video files depict images that are consistent with what has previously been reported." He added that he's "disappointed," although the AP reports that it doesn't appear that Ford will face any charges as a result. News of the video first surfaced in May, when those in possession of it showed it to reporters from Gawker and the Star. The video was reportedly being shopped around for six figures, but it soon disappeared, and Ford denied all the allegations. Police then launched an investigation that included surveillance of Ford and his friend, alleged drug dealer Alexander Lisi, and the video turned up in the course of that investigation. Unlike Ford, Lisi faces drug and extortion charges. It's possible the public will get a look at the video during his trial. http://www.newser.com/story/176837/t...ing-crack.html |
i dont even care...Ford did what he said he would, which is rare amongst politicians.
i bet if they held another election he would still win...he is doing what is right for the city. Although i do not support his casino, i think it will turn many people poor in toronto |

Not sure about the crack but when you look at his face you can not believe he would be trustworthy.

Well that's it. TO is going to turn into one big crack den. Better publicly crucify him before it spreads to all the other non-crackden Canadian cities.
Are there any non-crackden Canadian cities? |

Smoking crack seems like a very liberal thing to do. Meanwhile his politics and deeds while in office would definitely suggest he has somewhat conservative leanings. I find this amazing actually, that here we have one of the few polititians in office who actually lives the credo of being "fiscally conservative and socially liberal" and yet everyone's calling for his head.
Amazing! :D |

I'm not sure where he's saved the city money. Examples? And, he's shown ZERO leadership on many issues. We're STILL in limbo on transit - that whole discussion is a joke. |

And for the record - I miss the days of Mel Lastman. |

Do you not remember the other council members just refusing to work with him? I mean they have a job, which is to support the mayor, but because he cut their budgets they wouldn't do the job they were paid to. Is the guy a mess? yes...is he good for the bottom line of toronto, yes bad image maybe...but when it comes to dollars...this guy has cut the gravy train and it has gained him many powerful enemies. I wish he would clean up his act. He still gets drunk and wanders around toronto sometimes. However, he and his brother are bulldogs when they show up for work in the morning, you can't take that way from them. |
