House strippers
House strippers earn an OK amount. It's the stuff people that people leave behind is where the big profits are.
There's 2 clients who will hire you, who is handling the estate of the deceased and for mortgage companies' houses that have been foreclosed. Usually on foreclosures people take their stuff with them, but some times they just give up and leave everything or forget the deadline to move out and they get locked out.
Dead people can leave a lot of quality items behind. Many times the family has moved out of state and don't want to be bothered. Some times the person hiring you is a lawyer, who is the executor of the dead person. Shyster my aunt named was a crook. He had his cleanup crew there without telling us and before we had gone through the whole house. Her house looked like it should have been on Hoarders. Before the crew got there we did manage to get somethings out. A few hundred in cash, one ounce gold coin, 200# of change and $4000 in savings bonds, that all fortunately had pay on death to various family members.
Years later Mom found one of the items the crew took in a thrift store. It was a wooden toy that had a distinctive paint splotch on it. Mom had a picture of my aunt and uncle posing with the toy, so we knew it was the real one.
