The Roxy is A Fucking Tim Hortons Now
Nobody born in Toronto before 1995 will even care. A legendary Toronto landmark is now a Tim Horton's and a convenience store and a gas station. All in one! Yay! Progress!
Here's a little clip for the three people who might possibly remember the REAL Roxy Theatre. Shit, when I was 16 my friend Mike and I would sit in the parking lot of the Kentucky Fried Chicken down the road and busk a few bucks singing and playing music from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I played my Les Paul and Mike had pipes that would make Tim Curry proud... I would like to propose a toast! Had to go down to Greenwood and Danforth last week. Pathetic. I think even Tim Horton himself is spinning in his grave. Dammit Janet! Riffraff forever! Yowza! Nerding out for 30 years before you were even born... Is Nikki still around? |

Just so everyone non-Canadian knows, a "Tim Horton's" is a is a Canadian multinational fast casual restaurant known for its coffee and doughnuts. It is also Canada's largest fast food service with over 3,000 stores nationwide, significantly more than McDonalds. It was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, by Canadian hockey player Tim Horton and Jim Charade. Here's a pic:

Does Tim Horton's have more than coffee and doughnuts?
As for... "Nobody born in Toronto before 1995 will even care. A legendary Toronto landmark is now a Tim Horton's" ... how can something be a legendary Toronto landmark but only apply to 18- yr old people? Was that a flipperoo thing on accident? |
Tim Horton's has a great menu.

The Roxy actually means something else to those of us from the states. I assume this is not the one on the Sunset strip?

They are franchised out in the US by Wendy's. We have a few double units that have both Tim Ho's and Wendy's. |
