A company called HBGary Federal developed "persona management" software a few years ago. The software can make 1 person look like a thousand different people complete with different IPs.

This software can

• flood blog comments...

• thumbs down yahoo comments...

• mock and ridicule people on PHPBB and Vbulletin forums...

• create multiple facebook/myspace/linkedIn profiles...

• and cause twitter to trend...

I am not certain what HBGary is doing today but a company located in Montana called Mercury csc provides more or less the same service. And it is NOT very expensive

Still, as the Wall Street Journal noted yesterday, Samsung is expected to post operating profit of $9.3 billion for the quarter, so $340,000 isn't exactly going to break the bank.



That is nuts. I did not know they were doing that well. No wonder Apple is pissed.

They will pay that fine happily.

What about negative press? Many people would consider not buying samsung just because of that.

This is why we get fucked over with our electronic purchases!
