Have you seen this video? This song's been out for a while, I always liked it, I just saw the video recently, apparently it's causing all kinds of controversy because the song & video deal with homosexuality (the girls in the band are supposedly lesbian lovers) & they were both under 18 when the video was shot. Since it has some risque themes, a lot of people are trying to get this video banned. I think it's meant to be controversial, but it doesn't bother me at all & I don't think it's any more risque then Britney's first video when she was 16 or 17 years old. It's a helluva lot darker musically & visually then Britney & her silly bubblegum pop ilk, though, so I think that's the reason some people are so intent on censoring it. Here's a link to the clip:

no way should that be censored, sex between two 16 year old girls is legal, it's not porn, it's a music movie telling some kind of story and that's protected speech.

One of the better records of that genre to hit the charts in a very long while. People still get very confused as to what a pedo is. Two 16/17 year old girls kissing won't appeal to pedo's but will appeal to 90%+ of the male population despite any claims they may make publically.

Much of the press says they are a little bi at best and not truly lesbian. Just clever marketing backed up with a record that's actually better than most of it's competition.

You'd think the religious nuts would have figured out by now that trying to get something banned only makes more people interested in seeing it. You can't ban something that is by now freely avalible for download over the internet.

The ironic part is that while she was 16 and posing for clothed shots, she changed right in front me, which was legal. However, had I taken pictures of her nude, it might have meant serious trouble.

The laws in this country are weird.

Before you tell parents what they should and shouldn't have a problem with, I suggest you become one and realize what a 5-yr old seeing two young girls kissing like that on tv means.

Ummmm...it means 2 girls kissing? Sorry but I don't and probably never will see your point on that one. We're not talking about graphic sex just two people kissing and even then they aren't shoving tongues down each others throats. And yes I've had 5 year old children to bring up who are now very happy and well adjusted individuals.
