Internet Explorer is fubar

IE will fall to third I think. Cant even display pages right.

July 2013 world browser usage
Chrome 36.29%
Internet Explorer 20.27%
Firefox 16.60%

I personally use both Chrome and IE11
Google is pushing Chrome heavily in ads all over the web, it's bundled with some downloads too like the toolbars are. MS isn't advertising IE at all almost

Good news.

The day IE shuts down volcanoes will erupt, tsunamis will hit and the earth will rattle from the sound waves of front-end developers around the world popping champagne bottles.

While Chrome may be first in use on data aggregation sources, Chrome is #3 on our network of sites in terms of usage. IE still reigns as the #1 browser on our sites, followed somewhat distantly by FireFox and Chrome, which are pretty close in numbers.

Network wide, our breakdown looks like this:
1. Internet Explorer 29.72%
2. Firefox 21.68%
3. Chrome 21.54%
4. Safari 12.92%
5. Android Browser 4.34%

For us, IE still maintains a significant marketshare on our properties. It is a demographic that we simply cannot ignore from fully enjoying our sites.

I found that very difficult to believe so I picked two of my sites, one adult, one mainstream.

Firefox 48.2 %
Google Chrome 20.3 %
MSIE 13.6 %
Safari 7.2 %

Firefox 31.2 %
Google Chrome 26.9 %
MSIE 15.3 %
Safari 15.2 %

I'd suggest giving Opera a try while you're at it. It's my goto browser now.
