How much should I expect to pay for a tube script?
 

Hi guys,

I'm looking to set up a series of niche fetish tube sites (gangbang, cuckolding, pregnancy etc). I haven't decided how the content will be added yet but most likely it will be through the aebn affiliate programme who have a bunch of XML feeds you can grab (unless anyone has better suggestions for an affiliate programme!)

One question I had was what you would recommend I use for the tube script.

I've done a quick google search and came across the following:
- Automagick - $99/149
- AdultWatch - $99
- TubeAce - $200
- SmartTubePro - $499

Firstly, from the look of the sites and the example codes I've seen, I'm a little horrified by the state of the code bases offered. My idea was to add some non-standard tube site features (like a recommendation engine and live chat) to an existing script to give my niche sites a bit of a USP. Being a developer, that shouldn't be much of an issue but as I mentioned, the code bases do leave a lot to be desired!

Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice, AFFORDABLE and easily customisable script? I wouldn't want to spend $499 (SmartTubePro basic pricing) on such a script and the following features are must -haves:

- Being able to import from AEBN or similar style feeds
- Built on a modern PHP framework (Symfony/Zend/Laravel) not some home brew monstrosity
- Nice looking administration panel
- Easily themable (I don't like Smarty).

Also you can do all of that stuff for free with easyXsites.com - but we are in beta and have a lot of bugs to fix before we start rolling out all the really cool features ;)

That's true, I would have hoped for a good quality open source version (which I'd be more than happy to contribute to) but alas Nubiles/TubeX are the only two I've found this morning. One looks like a retro 1999 script and the other has been abandoned by the original author.

Thanks for suggesting MechBunny; that looks more like what I'm after and I like the fact that there is an unlimited domain license but it would still work out to about $200/site.

easyXsites looks pretty cool; I'm not looking for a hosted instance but I'm sure that would be perfect for some web masters - do you have any screenshots of the admin interface?

Yea I think the owner of TubeX is in prison or something, but at least it's opensource now - it wasn't before. I own a few copies that I aren't really using. Same with TEVS. Both are OK but not super.

The admin interface for easyXsites or for the tubescript? It's free and you can just make a user and make a tube. Right now there are a lot of sites in queue, so it will take a while - we are rewriting that part though (site creation).

I use Xtubescript and it's not bad. It's $29 for one domain license or $150 for for unlimited domains.

Support seems pretty good and gets issues resolved fairly fast.

Assuming your Xspunk site is running XTube script , what other modules did u have to buy?

Avoid this worthless piece of shit script as much as you can.

I did not have to buy anything else. It came with everything that was needed.

They sell other things like installation, server configuration, lifetime upgrades, DCMA complaint form and a mass import module.

You can add videos (embed) from a few adult sites like yourporn, youjizz, redtube, a gay site, etc.

if your not going to host your own content i would go with smartcj. It is free and it has all the features for hosting but also adding feeds. You can spend the money on the setup or ask you host to set it up. It a really easy.
