check out session mode. this is a backing track based off artificial intelligence.

you pick a scale and a key and start playing, the backing track sorts out what you are playing and backs it up!

I have the first version, but I just couldn't get used to the layout. I'm a fair guitar player(with lots to learn still) but something about the way the notes come in confused me. Hard to explain, but for me it's almost like trying to cut my hair in a mirror. I got so frustrated I usually ended up looking up the chord chart or Tabs for the song and just played that way.

Maybe this one will be better ???

hahah, me too man. every practice session i do there's 1 point or 3 where i want to take off my guitar and smash it to smithereens against the concrete and then jump out my fucking window!

but......the note highway has been completely revamped in 2014, it includes tab data now, and the fingerprint also includes which finger should be fretting that note. also the strings can be flipped to resemble tablature. some other things too, especially good is the riff repeater can be called up mid game play now and tweaked to repeat exactly the notes you want, from 1 note to the entire song!
