In this day an age.. how do they get id's mixed up?
I moved to MA a a few years ago but now I'm traveling around and staying in FL for the time being.
Well as luck would have it, there is a clone of me also living in MA. He has the same first, last name even the same middle initial. The kicker is he was born the same day as me. Because of this he has ended up on my credit report. Luckily he didn't have any fucked up shit. However, he has somehow ended up on my health insurance. Somehow Humana managed to charge this guys medical bills to my account. I went round and round with them on that many times and then they did it again. How the fuck Humana managed to do this is beyond me as I had never even visited the the same hospital or the same doctors. (yea they tried to blame it on the hospital reporting the wrong info) Now when I tried to update my Auto Insurance, they are claiming I had 3 wrecks which I didn't. So I had to do a dispute with LexusNexus and again.. even after disputing it he's still on my report. So I have to do yet another dispute. The best part is right on their own dispute they have SS numbers listed but blacked out as well as driver license numbers yet they still mix him up with me when these numbers are obviously different. Why the fuck does everyone under the sun require you give them your SS number for ID, yet no one seems to use it to verify they have the right person? In this day and age of computer programs there should be no chance of getting someone mixed up. Luckily this is just a real mix up and not someone trying to steal my ID. I could only imagine what people must go through when it comes to stolen id's. |
When I worked at 100 Summer Street @ BCBS of MA in same or similar situation, policy was to bill it and if it pays, walk away.
