Anyone ever do screenprinting with a company out of china?

Looking for anyone who has had their screenprinting done with companies based out of china. Ive got a few leads on alibaba right now but would love to talk to someone who has actually went thru with it all

You probably already looked into problem of quality control, there are gold suppliers and verified companies, and the safer but a bit more expensive route of getting a local agent who will visit the company and make sure you get what you pay for before they ship it.
We ordered some electronics before, stuff like clappers (clap on clap off, as seen on tv, not the electric bug killers), and literally 15% worked, rest was crap. Similar deal with a small batch of android usb-mini PCs, some burned as soon as they were plugged in, sometimes chargers were faulty etc. (this was via made-in-china, but alibaba is the same). If you're ordering shirts/clothes, actual measures in cm/in are a must, do not rely on their S/M/L/XXL tags. hope this helps a bit

thanks - it does. I have some "test" coming now but im sure they send the best as the samples

I am paying about 1.75 per shirt before shipping compared to 3.75$ id pay in the states.. gotta figure out if the savings is worth it

I get my custom Shirts from Chicago and my custom Pens from Florida. Doubt I'd even consider China unless I was doing tons of them. Would rather keep the dough here and nice to drive 5-10 minutes and pick them up.

I wouldn't. 15% good quality is probably a lucky high number. If you're on good terms with ADG hit him up.

Don't forget to cost to add the "Made in the U.S." tags.
AKA: Retagging service:2 cents:

You get what you pay for.

Where do you think 99% of your gear is made? I am really curious about this.

@OP
I have and can tell you that you need to spend the time to find a good supplier. Like anywhere, there is good and bad quality and it is a matter of taking the time to find the quality you are after.

I hope everyone is mis-sized, has holes in them and spelling mistakes.

I'm certainly aware damn near everything is made in China, Taiwan, Korea, Mexico, etc.

Let me re-phrase.

When you go alone with no idea what you're doing to buy Chinese products you will end up with garbage.

If you don't want to spend your money in the country like a good patriot :1orglaugh
Get a representative like was mentioned above for quality control.
You will still get crap but it's atleast better than you would get with no quality control.

I would go out of my way to buy made in the USA t-shirts and proudly distribute them as such. Small steps Chris. Small steps.

buying in china can be very tricky , like others have pointed out lots of the product might be faulty if you don't use someone on the ground to do quality control

you really need someone checking every item before it ships if you don't want the chinese company to fuck you over

the extra cost of the quality control means that only if you are doing big numbers it would be worth it for you to import from china
