Facebook Q - Personal & Biz "Profile"
I used to run two separate accounts, one for business related and one for personal bs. Then I turned my "business" account into a "fan page" and linked it to my personal one.
This is all getting a bit crazy to deal with, but what do you guys use or suggest? I'm assuming one account is the best way to go, but trying to filter out "friends" so when I post something business related, they don't comment with "WTF is this? are you getting wasted tonight with us?" Moreover, as I can block them from seeing certain content, when I post on others comments, it seems that EVERYONE can see (everyone = friends). Twice now I've had someone jump in and comment, the third was today with an really inappropriate comment from someone. I've since blocked them, but want to avoid this nonsense going forward. Personal account and fan page or just ditch the fan page and keep everything on one? |
this is a pain for me as well

Ugh, yea it is not easy. I just use two accounts and have the business fan pages tied to my business profile name. It's a PIA, but don't run the chance of crossing the "clients/colleagues" vs "family/friends" this way.
If you get the "pages" app you can get notified about your fan page only, so that is convenient and you can post from there directly to your fan page. (sure you know this already ;) |
