ThumBuilder: Create beautiful HTML5 galleries

Announcing ThumBuilder, a new service designed with the busy affiliate in mind. ThumBuilder allows you to create and manage beautiful photo galleries independent of your affiliate program or destination TGP. "Less this, more this."

ThumBuilder Features
  • Support for all traffic ? most galleries are optimized for desktop and mobile traffic so you can monetize with ease
  • One gallery, multiple TGPs ? just add a parameter to your gallery URL to tailor the page to each TGP?s unique (and sometimes finicky) rules
  • Intuitive interface ? Our service is modern, intuitive, and efficient for easy navigation. We're always adding tools to make your work easier and more consistent.
  • Everything is hosted in the cloud ? no server crashes or delays, fast page loads around the globe
  • No malware ? when your visitors click a link to see a photo in their gallery, they can expect to be taken to it with no detours, annoying popups, or overlays

The ThumBuilder Transformation
Why ThumBuilder?
  • We aren?t a big company. Instead, we are two people who are trying our hardest to make the affiliate role in the industry more streamlined. We support your efforts and pledge not to go behind your back or undermine you. We mean that.
  • We?re honest. We will keep our promises and operate with the fairness of our customers, our customers? viewers, and TGP/MGP partners in mind. We want everyone to make money and have a lot of fun!
  • We're innovating. ThumBuilder is going to be much, much more. We have a massive list of new features we are adding. If you don't like something the way it is, we're probably working on a slicker, newer, easier-to-use version. We want to be the best option for you.

HEY - Some of my affiliate-provided galleries are pretty nice! Why should I bother using ThumBuilder?
Yes, some of the galleries out there are great! And if it works for you, keep doing it. There's no reason you can't still use ThumBuilder when things aren't so easy. At least give us a try!

Open to suggestions, so if there are things you don't like about it, let me know.

I only wish I could have taken it live today but I'm configuring the servers to scale properly and finalizing some other little details! Very soon though!

I suggest you make a responsive option.

I like the way you think. I have a branch in progress right now but didn't want to halt the release any longer. It is coming, however.

Nice, but making any script for adult market today is more less wasting time unfortunately :)

kane 10-11-2013 01:17 AM

One question. As I look over the features it looks like the galleries that are made using this will be hosted by you. Is that correct?

I beg to differ, but if you're right, I'll buy you a drink.

Yeah, they're hosted on the ThumBuilder servers, which are cached in Amazon CloudFront CDN.

Full-disclosure, I guess. :-P

Thanks for the info. I will still give it a try during your beta if you want, but I can say now that I won't be using the service. If possible you might try to come up with an option that will allow a person to export the galleries and upload them on their own servers.

The reason I say this is that if I am going to put a lot of effort into promoting these galleries I want to have control over them if that makes sense.

If I am just going to use them as filler FHG's for a TGP or whatever it isn't as big of a deal, but if I am not going to submit them and work to build traffic to them if they are not on my server/domain.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

That's a valid concern - I can totally understand and sympathize with that.

For that reason, I also have another feature that will be coming in a few months. You will be able to use custom DNS so you can keep full control of the traffic.

So, if you decide ThumBuilder isn't for you, but you have ~500 galleries published, you can just reroute your domain name to a different server to monetize the traffic.

Exporting galleries is a possibility but I haven't found a way to address that yet.

As far as hotfixes: until I have the custom DNS feature launched, you can always setup each gallery to be forwarded from a server with a PHP redirect script or .htaccess - whatever suits your needs.

That is something to redirect traffic, but you should really work on way to give option to export galleries, even if you get only standard gallery export without your great options.

Our templates are named after cities in Germany. Bad code-names, but it works for now.

We have one responsive template which is very basic - it's called "Essen".

I'm converting the second one (which was actually the very first one, called "Munich") to responsive and we're adding new gallery templates as time goes on. This is going to happen before launch next week.

Nice. My focus is mobile, so that's a must for me.

It's definitely a priority for me. I still like desktop content but it doesn't matter what I like. :)

There will be a mobile version of every galley!
