how is it?

facialfreak 10-09-2013 06:56 AM

I usually wait until 10.9.1 comes out and fixes the little bugs ....

My MBP is my production machine, and I cannot afford to be Apple's guinea pig ...

DamianJ 10-09-2013 06:57 AM

Apple su><><0rs you idiot face

vdbucks 10-09-2013 06:57 AM

Been running it since DP4... still some things to work out* but overall it's much better than ML... especially dual monitor support.

*granted, I'm running a "hackintosh" build so...

scarlettcontent 10-09-2013 07:03 AM

will it run ok under VMware Workstation Oracle OR VM VirtualBox on windows 8?

Porko 10-09-2013 09:09 AM

It *is* the official version. Devs get the Gold Master early so they can test all their shit works.

I didn't get this popup, maybe because I'm on Windows? :)

yes, I know if the official version but, for developers. I prefer to install the 'public official version' in a week.

10.8.5 on all four machines right now. I'm hesitant to put the gold up on any of 'em. I'll wait for the first bugfix, probably. I absolutely cannot have downtime -- a big part of the reason I use a Mac to begin with.

The only thing that doesn't actually work thus far is after effects; even though the adobe guys already have the fix, they're being assholes and purposely waiting for the public release of 10.9 before they release it...

Cool, just as long as you realise it is exactly the same code.

Had it for about a week now in the iMacs and MBPs. Waiting to upgrade the Hackintosh. That's on 10.8.5 at the moment.

Are you sure this is Mavericks? When I check for software updates I am shown OS/X V10.8.5 only.

This morning I was reading about brogrammer startup houses, which led me to a bunch of images of startup folks. One thing I consistently saw was that they are all use MacBooks as their primary.

Something else I've noticed recently... people are constantly bitching about Windows error messages and I haven't seen an error message in months.

I don't miss having to restart my computer every few days "because it slows down" and not just "because I want to."

I don't miss only having 4 hours of battery life when I now have 12 with constant use.

I'll say it again... I am so sorry for ever talking shit on Mac. I now see the error of my ways. I cannot see myself ever going back. I have not encountered a single thing I cannot do on my Mac.
