Newbie question about billers
 

Hey guys, I am new to this forum and business so forgive me if my questions have been asked before but I am interested in learning as much about the business as possible. I have read through the past 5-10 pages of posts and am starting to learn the terminology.




Anyhow, I am currently developing a non-porn site for a buddy of mine, but I am not familiar with credit card processing. We do not have a need to process our own traffic, so we are looking for a biller. The problem is we do not have a shopping cart of merchandise or a subscription based members area.

We are selling a service that has a variable fee. After completing the service, we want to update the user's record in our database to record the amount due, and have the customer pay that amount online.


Basically, what we are looking to do is provide a link to a user that tells them how much they owe us, and they have the option of clicking on pay by credit card, and we will post the amount and name to a processor's system.


When the transaction is complete, we are simply looking for a report or even better, a procedure that updates their account in our database from the biller.

Do any billers offer services like this? What are the best billers? if the answers are no, any suggestions on how we can improve our stategy? thanks.
