Will Canadian Immigrant Ted Cruz HURT or HELP is political future with this shutdown?
 

He has shown keen interest in running for President (although born in Canada might make it tough) He single handedly shut down the US Gov so here is the question:

Do you think he is helping or hurting his political future with this stunt?

There's a segment of our population who not only like him, but think he's doing the greatest thing ever in American politics. This is a small group of crazy idiots who you can see in action if you visit any Tea Party message board. They're a racist, paranoid bunch of fuckheads. Just read some of their posts and you'll see what I mean. It's all negative, xenophobic, doom and gloom, anti-everything.

Fuck Ted Cruz. He should be thrown off a cliff for the good of our nation.

Even members are his own party are starting to speak out against him. He's not helping himself. Someone (forget who) recently snuck out from his own fundraiser to avoid being photographed with him.

Interestingly, he is backed by Peter Thiel, the founder of PayPal. Yes, the very openly gay and alleged orgy loving Peter is the main backer of this right wing extremist. The same Peter that used to welcome tons of cash from adult until he sold to eBay.

Cruz is supposed to hate everything about someone like Thiel. It just shows you what a whore Cruz actually is.

If the president caves in and makes concessions, then Cruz's stock goes up and if those concessions consist of, or include, delaying Obamacare, then Cruz heads the Republican ticket in 2016.

If the Republicans back down, Cruz becomes persona non grata within his own party.

And if no one backs down and the economy crashes like Business Week is predicting it will, well...

Our new military administered government will likely see fit to publicly hang Ted Cruz in the middle of Times Square.

People are starting to say Obama should go around the House and sue in the Supreme Court under the 4th section of the 14th Amendment:

"The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law ... shall not be questioned."

Then the right leaning Supreme Court will either have to give Obama the victory or burn the Constitution.

Meanwhile, the Defense Secretary was able to bring about half of those furloughed back to work by loosely interpreting the rules on essential employees.

it's still early in the crisis but it looks like ol Ted's stock is plummeting. He's all but disappeared from TV (which I'm sure he's thankful for) and no one is even talking about the defund crusade anymore - thats a dead issue...when the dust clears I think we can expect his fellow Repugnacons to throw his ass right where he belongs under bus.

I will be surprised if he even gets Teabagger support for a run at the Presidency now.

He's the most hated guy in Capitol Hill, and a lot of his haters are Republicans. But we could end up seeing a primary debate with Cruz and Rand Paul, because that side is ridiculously ignorant.

Who would be half-witted enough to trust anything Ted Cruz says? Every cell in his body screams out "bullshit artist" when he speaks. I'd have to wonder that anyone who would follow that punk could even tie their own fucking shoes. He has a face begging to be smashed. What kind of person speaks for 20 hours to make sure low cost healthcare isn't available to people who weren't fortunate enough to get born with a silver spoon up their ass? Of course, I'm not saying you should be entitled to it -- but its a rigged system, in favor of giant insurance companies + hospitals that charge 100 dollars for a bag of saline. Whether or not Obamacare turns out to be a disaster, or great -- at least the Liberals are taking a step. The Republican way of doing it would be to make sure the "job creators" have lots of tax free income to "trickle down" some insurance to the masses.
