i misspelled my paypal email and customer sent 500$ I made few misspeled letters.
How difficult for customer to change it?

It is quick. I apologized and offered customer 50$ credit. Feel so bad. Please tell me what is best to do?

He can just cancel and resend the money. I think he has to pay some fees though.

Create the email that it was sent to if you can. i.e. [email protected]

Add it to Paypal

Get customer to send you $1 to the email address again

Hopefully it will prompt the rest of the funds to be sent through.

If not, contact Paypal and explain the situation with a copy of the receipt to where the cash should have gone. They'll fix it up for you, most likely. Failing this, the customer can do a chargeback and it might be instant if the email address doesn't exist.

another paypal success story.

Ive had this happen, but I was the one where someone sent me the wrong ID. I had to contact paypal and was a pain in the ass to get it straightened out. the other email did NOT have a paypal account, but I still had to file paperwork then actually send in documents.

this is why I ask for invoices or when I request money, I do so with invoices through their system.

you might be fucked on this, but did you try to call support?

fitzmulti 10-07-2013 10:15 AM

happens often, all the sender has to do is cancel the transaction and resend it...

Happens to the best of us. Just have him cancel it and resend it to the correct email.

It'll be returned after some time, when it's not claimed.

I had a client send me an extra zero on the end of an invoice I sent him. He must have been shitting himself because I went AFK for about 20 minutes after chatting to him about the project.

Lucky some of us are honest. :thumbsup
