Fat Panda 10-04-2013 09:24 AM

fuck walmart corp. theyre one of the biggest corp freeloaders out there. 60-75% of all their slaves are on some type of govt assistance. walmart basically depends on taxpayers to provide food, housing and healthcare for their slaves.

typical amerikan corporation, fucking the fascist parasites

L-Pink 10-04-2013 09:24 AM

I have NEVER spent a penny at a Wal-mart or Sam's. But to comment on your post what's as disturbing is future employees will be limited to just 30 hours of work per week. This will necessitate having to get another job to make ends meet.

So now you will have a large group of service workers working 2 jobs and having their insurance paid for by tax payers.

.

candyflip 10-04-2013 09:25 AM

They actually reversed on this and will now be making 35000 part time employees, full time employees.

It was all a bluff, it seems.

Read it somewhere today, too lazy to go looking for a link.

never again - when billionaires are fighting so hard to keep their employees below the poverty level so they don't have to contribute to their good health..well thats beyond the pale for me

Tom_PM 10-04-2013 09:29 AM

Their low pay is why the min. wage should be increased. I know, troll alert but I'm not trying to do that. They're simply the largest employer in the country and therefore if they sneeze the rest of us have to say god bless you (or some other more fitting metaphor.)

JockoHomo 10-04-2013 09:30 AM

I would not walk into a fucking Wal-mart if I was homeless...staring and they were giving away food! I would sooner eat my own shit than step foot in one of their "stores"!

They represent everything that is wrong with this country - greed, fucking over small business, accepting shit quantity instead of quality - in general lowering standards to make a buck!

Fuck Wal-mart!

Second that, can't beat the deals they have. I feel for the employees, but I'm not made of money. I got to save where I can.

dyna mo 10-04-2013 09:34 AM

is there any real big value at walmart anymore? heck, i price compare them online with amazon et al and don't see any. the local grocer is as price competitive as heck on things, shop carefully and come close to walmart. and my uber local mom& pop tries real hard these days to come close to the local chain prices with a nice selection and convenience and first name convo, etc. i ask for something and he will get it even.

maybe walmart makes sense for a family of 6+ with 2 100 pound dogs eh, but yeah for me, i don't have any reason to shop there.

interesting article, here is another one about Papa Johns:

iwiiiiiiiiii 10-04-2013 09:41 AM

Walmart is the bigger employer, and nobody is forced to work there. People buy there because it's cheap, and it's cheap because they employ people who have no school degrees at the minimum wage.

We have to know what we want. If we don't agree with what they does, fine, turn back and buy from small shop who is made in america, for 3 time the price.

Personally I'm in admiration, they deserve to be rich, they help tons of people who are not forced to work their, they are the biggest employer in the US.

Spunky 10-04-2013 09:45 AM

They are required to buy insurance that will be SUBSIDIZED because of their income level.

And who do you think pays for the "government tax credit subsidy" they will qualify for?

Taxpayers.

Why is it you don't complain about the massive subsidies to big oil, large corporate farms, defense contractors, GE.. The list could go on and on about all the companies and industries that get large amounts of govt subsidies and most of these corps have no direct benefit to the Average American..

Yet oh holy hell, if the govt uses tax money for the benefit of the average person, then it's the end of the world..

Cool
And who do you think paid the million / billions to even get this ACA going???

Awesome, Walmart joins an Ever growing list of Companies doing this....

Unbelievable! :2 cents:

Rochard 10-04-2013 10:48 AM

Don't believe everything you read even when it comes from a source like Forbes.

You posted a link about how Wal Mart is "bailing on Obamacare" (and shafting it's employees as if this is anything new), yet the same site has a more recent article that says the direct opposite: Wal Mart is moving over to full time employees so they can have healthcare under Obamacare.

Go figure.

You lost me, ??? Walmart pushed this Obama insurance program?

The Affordable Care Act is affordable because of taxpayer money covering subsidies given to lower income individuals.

Basic math.

I'm not saying it's a good or bad thing. I'm just pointing out how it's funded.

.

adendreams 10-04-2013 11:16 AM

I had a feeling this topic would be another chance for ACA haters to vent.

It's law people...move on

pornguy 10-04-2013 11:21 AM

Odd. My first few jobs did not offer health care and wow. Im still alive. I moved on and UP and got health care.

Now with walmart giving the obama care or people being forced into it whats the incentive to move up? Not pay because they are headed to 10 or 15 an hour.

Not long before the dollar is even more worthless than it already is.

Captain Kawaii 10-04-2013 11:26 AM

Does anyone have a link or two showing the companies the Obama Admin gave a 1 year ACA postponement to?

We try not to buy anything from gas to food to clothes at any conglomerate. It is possible, it is affordable. Just takes a little effort on a decent SE.

L-Pink 10-04-2013 11:26 AM

For people like me with pre existing conditions this is great.

But let's not forget why is "Affordable". It's not "affordable" because the health care industry cut their prices. It's not "affordable" because the insurance industry streamlined their business and cut profits.

It's "affordable" because some taxpayer somewhere is paying more taxes so a whole lot of people can afford insurance thanks to "government tax credit subsidy".

Well actually, if the money is coming from anywhere, it's coming from your kids or grandkids futures considering USA debt and deficit levels.

atom 10-04-2013 11:56 AM

Oh My God, these poor Walmart employees that have a gun held to their head every morning making them go into work. I feel for them! It's almost as bad as the black kids on TV's with flies on their eyeballs.

RyuLion 10-04-2013 12:12 PM

Let's keep it focused on this topic not the waste everywhere else.

My point is while some will be getting cheap health care or lower cost health care it's only because other individuals are paying more which is in effect a tax hike for them.

10 an hour in California means you can barely support yourself in a rented room. Barely. 15 means you can be a single patent maybe. But not a family provider. Not going to happen. Especially when they don't give overtime and think 32 hours is a full work week. 480 a week minus taxes, 390 and rents start at 1200 a month for a shit hole. You need food stamps after gas, car insurance and rent. You haven't even started thinking about a.. haha... ohh man... a vacation from your crap life.

As far as Obama care goes, I personally will benefit from it. So yes, I selfishly approve.
