Lavabit owner had sense of humor (NSA wiretap shit)
 

Seems leading up to Lavabit.com shutting its door due to NSA demands the owner give them a nice Fuck You.

Prior to Lavabit shutting down, the NSA was granted a court order that forced the owner of the service o hand over the site's SSL key, so they could spy on Snowdens email exchanges. Lavabit responded to this demand in a very untimely manor and turned it over as printed text on 11 pages in 4pt text.. The SSL key was 2,560 characters,

When the judge ordered them to turn it over in digital form, Lavabit then shut down

They left Levison no choice for anyone with a conscience or an understanding of what was going on. True hero for a modern age.

Yea it's pretty fucked the guy has to close his site because of NSA spying.. At least he went out with a pretty awesome fuck you to the govt.

hopefully he will be able to reopen his services under another business operation and loyal customers can rejoin slowly regrowing the business. hard work though, just to get back to where he was.

Would have been hilarious if he then just took a picture of the 11 pages laid out on the floor with a cel phone and emailed the .jpg
