Cops in New Orleans
 

Been watching a few episodes of cops tonight featuring mardi gras... Its insane.. Seems like the cops and national guard take shit a little too seriously..... They see people smoking joints and they tackle them to the ground and do all kinds of crazy arm locks.

However, after 10 days on Bourbon street I can tell you, when the cops there are going to arrest you for anything they don't play. They will put your ass on the ground.

haha, I didnt figure anyone else would make a post about this..... but its pretty insane.... They are beating everyone down big time in these episodes.....

hahaha, I just caught the end of that show, funny shit. Those guys are freaking out over everything. You'd think the cops in New Orleans would be better at dealing with that kind of shit. Half of them are acting like they're in fucking WWII or something.

From experience, you would be very glad the cops were there freaking out when the crowd gets like that. I've been smack dab in the middle of it and you can literally get crushed to death. Can't move for 10 or 15 minutes then the crowd leans one way, then the other, and you can't even hit the ground because so many people are slammed in a little spot. If you ever ended up on the ground you would be dead. You have to be there to understand what 100,000 people pushing from every direction can do.

Most of those episodes are about 10 years old. Keep your eyes out for new ones though because there are some COPS film crews and a crew from Discovery Channel in the Quarter this week. (Of course it all depends on whether or not they get some good footage!)

BTW.. most of those people deserve treatment worse than they get!!!!
