This was being discussed in one of the homebrewer groups yesterday; the contention is that it takes the fun out of brewing, kind of like driving an automatic transmission as opposed to manual.

That being said, it looks pretty easy and that is a definite selling point. I deal with a few microbreweries that have automated their brewing process and turn out some good beers, so I guess it could work. Not sure how you would do tweaks and I wonder how much they are going to cost.

I liked the simplicity and the way it is saying you should be able to match what someone else has brewed with a recipe of settings rather than guesswork. I'm sure it won't work out as cheap beer though and that usually seems to be why people start home brewing.

I don't know that anyone I know that home brews does it for "cheap beer." Primary reasons is to brew clones of beer too difficult to find locally.
