Buying Traffic
 

I have been a webmaster of my own adult membership site for over 6 months now. We have done little marketing and only a few affiliates. We are still developing the site and our system as we go. We actually have a laundry list of things we have not done yet that need to get done ASAP. However, without the required income it is difficult to invest back into the business. I have considered buying qualified traffic but I do not know anything about it. I am interested. Our conversion ratio is good (if that really matters) but our traffic is 1/40th daily compared to similar sites within the same genre. I need real levels of qualified traffic to grow and advance.

I wouldn't advise you to buy traffic to a membership site unless your content is extremely unique and your offer is proven. 95% of people who buy traffic to membership sites do not turn a profit. However if you would like to get your feet wet or have feeder sites I would be glad to educate you on traffic buying.

Thanks - I don't like to waste people's time. I tell potential clients and newbies like it is - no need to waste budgets on something that won't perform. Our traffic works well for many offers, but usually not membership sites. Dating, Webcams, Herbal, Casino and many others do quite well though.

If you are running a whitelabel and don't have experience buying traffic you probably would not turn a profit on your first buy. It takes testing and optimization to make this type of traffic work for many offers. Hit me up if you want to discuss.

Hi there - there seems to be some honesty on offer here so I thought I'd ask a newbie question for buying traffic. I'm in the early stages of my affiliate site (see sig below) and wondering if it's worth buying a little traffic to get myself off the ground. As I understand it there may not be direct monetary gains (ie getting back what I invest) but this can improve my standing with Google page ranking, is this correct? I should point out my budget is fairly low...

Just make sure you track the traffic wherever you buy it from

first of all...u should not be using the word invest. as u already know ur getting back NOTHING from this, so it should be rightly called EXPENSE...get that right

buying small amounts traffic will do Zero for your page rank or seo rankings.

ive checked out ur site and its totally same niche as my ex-sites. in fact i find ur posts to be quite hot.

your Blog will not do well at all with any kind of skimmed or pop traffic. reasons being

1) there will be a too-high bounce rate.
2) u have zero traffic trading
3) probably near zero book markers
4) probably zero sales

when buying traffic...u want either to TRADE IT or GET BOOKMARKERS.

for a blog...the best bet will be organic seo traffic or plug rush.

however ur blog is not suitable at all for plug rush...so talking specifically about your blog, i think its still far from being ready for any kind of purchased traffic

if you wish to buy skimmed traffic, i suggest making your landing page to have 80% to 90% less text and more then double the images, either by making more posts or more images per post

Hi folks, thanks for the responses. So, can't expect much from just a few thousand hits, understood. To be honest I was expecting much the same, so I'll continue with my current course of action - creating daily content and getting some quality backlinks.

I appreciate that I could buy skimmed traffic but it seems I'd have to change the site quite a bit, and the original text is kind of what I'm going for.
