since google new policy - we have went down on alexa - we don't know if its complaints, etc - but it not be because of traffic

We've been attempting to work with Alexa for some time now but we don't have a paid account and we've terminated our relationship with them so therefore that is why we show much lower

Alexa and Google are not connected - Alexa measures traffic, not always well, but never THAT bad...

That ranking gives you about 80 uniques a day - not 80,000:2 cents:.....

I stopped paying for Alexa a few years back, due to problems with them and not accurately reporting. Not to mention the toolbar issue. If people from Alexa were not using it, your numbers weren't counted. So lowering your Alexa rank is not as simple as getting more traffic, they had to be using the toolbar.
Because of this I stopped paying them and removed their trackers and codes from my sites. I hope this explanation, resolves this issue.
FYI- I am not the only one this happened to. Without the codes embedded in your sites from Alexa or any of the search engines , your numbers are not accurate off them.
You might also, understand, that alot of these ranking tools over the past few years have pulled away from alot of the adult sites. :(

Everyone knows who has been in this business, alot of affiliate sites brought this bullshit on themselves, cheating honest hard working people outta their affiliate money. Not to mention ripping off members.

I know I sure as hell haven't. I use Alexa as a broad guide to determine the amount of traffic a site is likely to receive.

I'm fairly new to the adult side (10 yrs. in mainstream) but I've had sites under 100k on Alexa and the traffic was only 100-200 uv's. a day. Am I missing something in this conversation?

Eddy it is possible that his site has an alexa issue. I have seen it before. I think anyone paying serious money for traffic from him could request proof, tests or stats first.

Its not just Alexa - All the indications are s/he is talking BS - I checked it out as things started getting a little heated...

The only thing I can think of is if they are talking about a network of domains - However, I am sure they would have mentioned that by now.....

Simple way to solve it is to post traffic stats screen shots.

But Im not seeing traffic to it as claimed either.

Listen all of you. In my program I can ban bots, which I do. I have little to no spam and like it that way. I do not care about Alexa or Google or any other program. If people who want my stats that advertise with us, I gladly hand them over. I have many many years on the net and phatforums is very vintage and still loved by many. I am again done here. I said it years ago and I will say it again, this cut throat world was never a place for me. I have been hit by the best and still stand stronger and longer than most. So take your best shot, you mean nothing to me at the end of the day . Also, if anyone has anything on Phats that is theirs contact me and I will gladly remove it and ban your site.
Also, we are all aware that the affiliate sites we supported over the years got there standing from ALL of us. You never did it alone. It was because of US , you ranked as well as you did or do. Without the affiliates , you had nothing. Have you also told them that still work for you, whats inside the banners you give them to promote? That they start out well and suddenly make nothing and there traffic drops, while yours goes up? Maybe they are the ones who need to be educated .

I have never analyzed bots that much but to say you would ban bots like Alexa or Google sounds crazy!

I don't think they banned the bots - Unless I missed that bit - They removed tracking codes from what I understand...

Have used phatforums in recent 12 months for a 30 day run. Hard to describe the results, the amount of hits is insane but conversions are 80 times less then any other forum.

It seems like for a paysite it would be good for 1 conversion. Then they can post your library of content on filelockers for everyone else to enjoy :upsidedow
