I've made the switch to Chrome. Was hesitant at first, but it's been pretty good so far.

sandman! 09-28-2013 04:47 PM

im thinking IE because it just works Java works right and i can open pdf's even after updating java and pdf plugin i still cant find a way to enable it in firefox

Mediamix 09-28-2013 04:59 PM

People that use IE should carve letters in stone tablets...

Jim_Gunn 09-28-2013 05:02 PM

I have the latest Firefox running multiple plugins and some custom scripting and everything works great for me. Never had a problem with PDFs, Javascript, Flash or anything else. Maybe you need to tweak some settings?

MrBottomTooth 09-28-2013 05:23 PM

Ie works fine. Other than the very odd site you have to click the compatibility mode button, I have no issues. I don't get viruses and sites load fast. What else is there to worry about? Most people act like using ie is equivalent to being a child murderer.

lucas131 09-28-2013 05:28 PM

tried all the most known ones. everything have problems, with memory, with configuration, with gui and so ... got back to firefox, then setup everything i need and everything is working very well and smooth! just give a little bit time to set it up :) have luck! :thumbsup

I also like the Firefox sync. It syncs all of your computer's & device's bookmarks, history, plugins, cookies and more.

I use Firefox and Chrome, Chrome is much faster lighter and less resource consuming, but that's only because i have too much plugins in my firefox that makes it take almost 1gb ram, on regular usage firefox is still the best for me.

Opening a PDF doesn't require a plugin. Try
Tools>Options>Applications
Find PDF and set the application to open with.

Mine is set to "Preview in Firefox" and I can open PDF's without a problem. You could also set to open with acrobat here.

Opera has always been a good alternative.

When I was using a PC, it seemed like Chrome was going to shit. Started slowing down and becoming more and more unresponsive with each update.

It is amazing on a Mac though.

gracesfall 09-28-2013 07:19 PM

I use Chrome myself, but have IE and FF installed and a separate app to test sites in other browsers / mobile platforms.

Now I use Chrome. I switched to it a few years back when Firefox started locking up a few times a day on on me and I haven't looked back.

I go between Firefox and Chrome, I use Chrome for my serious internet stuff but I use Firefox when logged in to my drupal sites to make changes.

RevSand 09-28-2013 11:04 PM

Chrome since I can sync it all to my phone also so easy. All the same tabs, bookmarks, tasks, plugins, etc..

I access all browsers to check my sites as well, but my favorite everyday browser is entirely dependent upon which computer I'm on.

On one XP machine, explorer displays too large and on two others I have seemingly insoluble PepperFlash issues when using chrome.

Firefox is too slow on all but one of them.

It's the nature of the beast(s) I suppose.

SilentKnight 09-29-2013 10:19 AM

Opera on my office laptop(s) and tablet.

Chrome on my Samsung GS4.

Rochard 09-29-2013 10:38 AM

I've been using Chrome for about a year now. Love it. No issues.

mavruda 09-29-2013 12:21 PM

I'm on Chrome

Been not so happy with FF...been trying Chrome and liking it.

TrashyGirl 09-29-2013 07:07 PM

I use Chrome, tho I don't like the new Chrome with tab feature that opens to my favorite sites. Gotta figure how to turn that shit off.
