They don't remove main characters from the credits if they happen to die mid-season. Noticed the same thing with boardwalk empire.

It would be kinda hard to dig ihmself out of that hole with the hole in his head and all.

Yeah, that's right! There was the episode in season 3 where hank got that metal plate put in his head. So the bullet didnt kill him, just knocked him unconscious!

This changes everything!
