Toliet Paper for a year.

It pays to do super saver shipping on Amazon, this probably would have been close to $100 at Wal-Mart, cost me just over $48 on Amazon. :pimp

Should last most of a year.

There are a few. You have to love a global economy, the fruits of sweat shops delivered right to your American door. :thumbsup

Lots actually.

My dad needed a roof repaired over Easter weekend before a big storm. Called six crews. Guess which crew was willing to work Easter to get the job done?

I figured that might come up, but posted the pic anyway. Much like all the tissues next to my iMac.

In the fall I won't mow as often because my grass will just turn brown. I actually enjoy mowing a lot. :)

fitzmulti 09-25-2013 04:56 PM

I'd say that was a shitty deal...but, it actually isn't.

Yep, by the first dick that read your post. lol

fitzmulti 09-25-2013 05:05 PM

Oh, and...
At LEAST toilet paper is one of the items that does NOT have a "NEW" or "USED" option on Amazon! ;-)

Yes, with lengthier delivery. I get bulk oatmeal and other items like this through amazon, I don't sweat over a spreadsheet on savings but with things like this it does make a difference.

Your dad will be re-doing that roof soon.

That's really funny because last year around this time (mid Oct really) I got a big box of toilet paper from Amazon and I'm down to my last pack and a half. It did last me almost exactly a year and it's time to reorder, haha. I also recently got some oatmeal which can be a decent deal there when there's a coupon especially.

mineistaken 09-25-2013 07:33 PM

bath tissue is PC name for toilet paper? :1orglaugh

onwebcam 09-25-2013 07:33 PM

Well if things go to shit soon looks like you got it covered.

And she's probably drooling over your stockpile.

Thanks for posting this, you made my day as I thought I might be alone in my ass-wipe savings endeavors. It's good to know there are chaps like you around. :thumbsup :1orglaugh

I can't FAP to this :2 cents: Never got into the bulk buying shit, watched that tv show where they get a whole cart of shit for like nothing with coupons but having a lifetime of soap, toilet paper, etc... doesn't interest me as rotating stock seems like a job.

I've never been big on coupons.

I will agree with you on all that as there is making money mode and saving money mode, it's hard to be in both.

A bulk purchase like this saves me time, convenience, and some money with just a couple clicks. It wouldn't be worth it if I had to pay that $35 for shipping however.

it's cool if ya use what ya buy in a reasonable amount of time and save some dough, just the people that buy 800 toothbrushes cause it's a deal is a little extreme :2 cents:

As for me, I'm a walker so it's kind of hard to pack home more than a few rolls at a time, so buying online works out great for a lot of bulky or heavy things.

SplatterMaster 09-25-2013 09:00 PM

You must not have a woman at home sucking up all the oxygen and using all the TP if that shit will last you a year :1orglaugh

Jel 09-25-2013 09:02 PM

'almost a year'? That's almost 2 rolls a week, wtf do you do with it aside from wiping your ass?

Interesting, I also walk a lot everyday and make it a point to carry everything except fresh fruit/veggies/meat/fish. Those I pick up on my bike and put in saddlebags. I try to never drive my truck. Pay nothing in gas and really enjoy walking. But I never buy anything online.

The Duck 09-26-2013 07:42 AM

Cool. Yeah, I just got in the habit and compare prices with my store before ever hitting the final button. I like it best when the only things I need to buy at my store are in the produce and meat sections. I don't have a bike but it's winter soon and I'm considering a sled, hehe. Otherwise I use one of those fold up hand carts.

DraX 09-26-2013 10:24 AM

Have you taken flu days per year and other surprises in consideration?

You never know what might deplete your toilet paper stock.

Hate seeing you go all out 1 week before the end of the year.

How the hell are you going to recover from something like that ?

He won't need to recover if he goes short only 1 week, since he already expecting it to last "most of the year", not whole year :winkwink:

Interesting this thread is up at the top when I logged in. :)

Everyone will be happy to know that I succumbed to the peer pressure in this thread and decided to mow and trim my lawn an bushes, thanks guys! :thumbsup

Call the Shithouse Crisis Management Team - I smell a crisis brewing (in my lower intestines).

Google, "Japanese washelet" - And try one. You will thank me forever. They are available in the US.

Turn that year supply into a lifetime supply. Models will love it. Trust me.

Meanwhile, in a government-run workers paradise, the inevitable happens....

"Facing shortages, Venezuela takes over toilet paper factory
By Marilia Brochetto and Greg Botelho, CNN
updated 10:05 PM EDT, Sat September 21, 2013

Venezuela occupies Paper Manufacturing Company's plant in Aragua, vice president says VP: Nation won't "allow hoarding or failures in the production and distribution" of essentials

(CNN) -- When you're running low on toilet paper and getting desperate, what do you do?

If you're the Venezuelan government, you take over a toilet paper factory.

On Saturday, Vice President Jorge Arreaza announced the "temporary occupation" of the Paper Manufacturing Company's plant in the state of Aragua. The aim, he explained, is to review the "production, marketing and distribution (of) toilet paper."

"The ... People's Defense from the Economy will not allow hoarding or failures in the production and distribution of essential commodities," the vice president said."

So basically, the government decides that manufacturers and distributers are "too greedy" so they put in price controls, as well as currency controls regarding import and exports.

These prove to be unrealistic, unworkable, and unprofitable, so lots of them go out of business....

So then the government takes over since there are now shortages....

.... I'm sure this will all work out. Central control of a market ALWAYS works out!

No waste of paper, space and money.

It also must be way more precise with cleaning than toilet paper. I'm not sure if that's a good idea for public places but for own home and 1 person use it must be a better solution. :thumbsup
