Why the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Should Sign Quarterback Tim Tebow

For the life of me, I can't imagine how sports writers can post articles like this with a straight face. I think they only thing missing is that troll face as it's impossible to believe that anyone really believes this guy can turn around any team when he's been dumped by a handful of teams to date. He is NOT an NFL caliber quarterback period. These jesus freaks need to get that shit through their fucking heads.

Quote:

Perhaps the answer lies in bringing in a free agent quarterback to solve the Bucs' quarterback woes. Perhaps Tim Tebow could help awaken the Bucs sluggish offense? What Tebow offers as a quarterback is the ability to run and diversify what is a fairly simple and predictable offense. Imagine Tebow running option plays with Doug Martin, and defenses now having to worry about him taking off with the ball. Nevertheless, he would be most useful in the red zone, where the Bucs seem to struggle. Tebow's large stature would allow him to pound the ball up the middle or run a simple bootleg around the outside. And let's not forget, Tim Tebow can throw too. Even if he lacks accuracy, big and talented receivers like Jackson and Williams are the kind of guys who can go up and catch just about any ball thrown within a 10 yard radius.

Of course, we can't forget about the intangibles that make Tim one of the most talked about players in the NFL. Tebow has demonstrated throughout his high school, college, and NFL career that he is a strong leader on and off the field. Josh Freeman simply has not displayed such leadership abilities. This is reflected in the fact that his team did not even elect him as a captain. However, what is more important than any of Tebow's intangibles or even his quarterback skills is his ability to fill stadium seats. At 0-3, many have considered the season over for the Bucs, and perhaps it is. With a schedule that includes Atlanta twice, along with San Francisco, and Seattle, the odds of making the playoffs are very low. Even salvaging the season to go above .500 seems like a stretch.

No one should sign him as a QB!! There is a reason he has been on a few different teams over the last few yrs. HE SUCKS! :1orglaugh

Yes that does seem to be the case with Tebow. So what if he can run? First thing NFL coaches do with a running QB is teach them to be a pocket passer; which Tebow doesn't seem able to do.

L-Pink 09-25-2013 03:49 PM

Sign him. Home games are all blacked out from no fans maybe he can fill the stands.

madm1k3 09-25-2013 03:52 PM

Wrong, the Jags should sign Tebow

1. They can't get any worse
2. They have no hope at getting any better this year
3. Their fans don't go to their games
4. Tebow is a local hero having played his college ball at Florida
5. and most importantly for once there may be some interest in their team

Two other reasons could be Gabbert or Henne

The extra tickets sold in Jacksonville or Tampa with Tebow Jersey sales will be worth a fortune.

DigitalDesire 09-25-2013 04:43 PM

Joel Osteen should sign him.

beerptrol 09-25-2013 05:18 PM

I was thinking Jacksonville would be a good place for him. More asses in the stadium and more team jerseys selling until they can get a real QB

WoW! 09-25-2013 05:20 PM

Tim Tebow is the worst QB I've seen in my life and no team with a little of bit of common sense would sign him.

Ever notice how he and Dick Cheney share the same smile? Only one side of the mouth goes up.

Tebow would be perfect for Tampa. Christian nutbag town...:1orglaugh
Maybe Tim could get a ranch up in Polk County.:upsidedow

I really hope a team signs him, and starts him

Then this whole controversy will be laid to rest when he proves to everyone he truly does deserve the title of worst all time passer.

i thought the guy had some actual wins under his belt?

i dont pay attention to football much, but i could swear he won some big games.
maybe he is just a dick in the locker room

I'm a Bucs season ticket holder, and have been for many years...

Tampa just benched Josh Freeman, who is the 33rd worst quarterback in the NFL this season. Keep in mind, there are only 32 teams in the NFL.

I'm not so sure that our backup, Mike Glennon, is any better, either.

Fuck it... sign Tebow. We can't get any worse than what we are now (0-3). It'll get people in the stadium, which is something we haven't done the past three years. Then we can finish last in the NFL and draft a real quarterback next year. :-)

adendreams 09-26-2013 11:06 AM

as much as I agree that his passing skills are horrible, and very likely he will never get another starting QB job...would be a great football story if he made a comeback and became a great hall of fame QB - you never know...his mechanical shortfalls seem to be mental not physical.

Kurt Warner came from nowhere to win a Superbowl...would be fun to see all the pundits eat shit if Tebow made a comeback.

No sooner did I post that above, and the Bucs announced no blackouts this year.

Yeah I learned 1 thing from sports. 1 single guy can make an entire team win.

CFL is filled to the brim with Jesus retards.. Tebow would fill the stands with them and maybe they could pray that he gets better.

TBH I don't even watch football and I'm sick of hearing about this guy, but business wise if the bucks are having issues he could fill a lot of seats, so it would make good business sense.

I'm guilty of that. I'll go to Yankee pre season games in Tampa but not Rays regular season.

I'm just not a baseball fan. I don't go to the Lightning games, either... I can't stand hockey.

But I go to all the Bucs games.
