Question for you guys, how much free content do you think you should give away, if any?
Let say length of video preview 30-seconds, 1,2 minutes?

And do you think you can ever change a freeloader into a customer?

Your thoughts on this...

I could give away all of my content, hell a lot of it is non-exclusive and available in full on xvideos. People still buy. There is no direct answer to this question, try a few things and use what works for your site(s).

I have some theories about it but they are all based on own experience and thoughts...

I think it's best working with short trailers instead of full-movies or 6 minutes freemovies.
I mean "best working" for the sponser... Of course the tubes and their cpp's want you to think videos over 5 minutes are the best but that's simply because wtf can they do with 30 second-trailers? That's a shitty product to offer THEIR visitors... If they say: longer videos are better converting they actually mean to say: we don't give a fuck if we convert for you... we don't want it to convert for you... we want as-long-as-possible-free-videos to keep the visitors on our site with your content because rev. share is not our income-model... ads are! Most tubes only accept videos with a minimum length of 5 min. so if you want to add trailers to a tube...

Have you ever seen a 6 minutes hollywoodmovie trailer? Free content should tease. Take a music video for example... they are hotter and often more teasing then porntube movies:1orglaugh Why? Because of the speed of the images: mostly no shots longer then 1 or 2 seconds. It's hot but at the same time very frustrating for the watcher... everytime they see a hot image it's allready gone again. They can not only not fap to it... it also makes them want mooooorrreeee. It's mindblowing... because images go faster then their brain can register.

You can make a very teasing 5 minute-trailer but just make sure the shots are short. If scenes are too short to fill a 5 min. video with short shots then just simply use different scenes for one trailer.

From my own experience... If i see a 5 minutes free video, or a full video; or a 10 minutes trailer or whatever... I've allready seen it... don't need to subscribe to see the rest. Porn surfers are looking for the best possible scene to fap to that best fits their interest/fetish at THAT very moment. They want to see exactly what they are dreaming about. Well, that doesn't exist. It can come close but it's never good enough. That's why you should not show too much! Because if you show too much you're not teasing them... you only show them that your scene is good but not exactly perfectly what they want it to be according to their fantasy of that moment. TEASE!

My thoughts exactly. I've experimented with longer "trailers" and they don't convert any better than shorter trailers. Sites just want product to fill their sites and keep people on their site, not go to yours.
