Let talk about web security

I have to say I have never had a full on attack but I have had some cross site bullshit and other security issues.

I take that back, someone tried to sit and ping and try every wordpress hack from some place in China for days.

What I have to tell you is that I pay 5 bucks a month for a back up of my server from Securi They back it up daily at least. I just blowed my server up because why not but really because I dont know what I doing.

Securi kicks some ass. $5 bucks a month full backups.

I know what your saying. You gotta be shitane meh.

Check it out.

Thanks

Paully

backups are a must but in regards to securing your server you need to make sure all your stuff ie: scripts and so forth is up to date....

but in the end if they want in they will

There's no pricing for backup on Securi's site. Copy n paste the prices for backups.

If you?re client and are interested to learn more please go the Website Backups page, if you?re not a client but would like a solution please signup for a plan here.

Nothing on the signup page about backup plans and prices.

True that. If they really want in they could just pay 24.95 a month. No stopping those guys.

This looks more like an advertisement for Securi than it does a discussion on web security.

Why not backup to hard drives at your home and office? Putting backups out on the web just gives another place people can steal your content. :2 cents:

You might be right.

I like that I can fix the site from anywhere though. Just need to download filezilla and get to work.

Mutt for 89.95 they scan your site daily for infections, for $5 a month they do daily backups and for another $10 a month they give you a cloud proxy/web access firewall for dos attacks and brute force attacks etc...

I was able to download my backups and fix the site before Certified could get back to me.

Not knocking Certified, I love those guys but they only do weekly back ups.

I highly recommend Sucuri.

Thanks

Automated backups are going to be better when it all hits the fan. Would you rather restore from a good backup 30 mins before the hack, or the last one you did in the office a couple of months ago?
