Back in the TRS-80 days, this game was the tits:

It was called Deathmaze or Deathmaze 5000. It was a 3D game. You walked by clicking one of 4 arrow keys, and each "step" was the length of 1 wall like you see in the image above.

As you walked around and found some bounty it looked like this:

No sound either... but you could give commands like "open box", close box, eat food, etc.

GTA isn't really the shit, this is (watch in 1080p) - playing against a computer is just too easy.
