Grand Theft Auto 5 help

Ok I have seen a lot of talk about this game and I am probably one of the few who have never played it in my life.
After seeing the warning about the game it made me laugh at how it is even possible.
Can someone tell me what you do in the game?
I mean more then drive around stealing cars. What is the goal? Does it have levels or stuff you have to do like other games or do you just drive around banging hookers from what I have heard HAHA.
Thanks

Lol :) you have missions, and zillion other stuff you can do if you dont want to play them at the moment. And every new gta is 10X more complex(graphics, cities, cars, missions, etc....) than previous... And i think this multiplayer will blast HARD!!!

there are missions but if you are like me you will spend most of your time screwing around...pissing of the cops and then trying to lose them

I haven't seen any since Vice City, but one of our favorite things to do was get the SWAT team to bring in the helicopters and then try to stay alive for as long as possible, LOL.

After a few weeks, that's all I used to do on San Andreas and Liberty City too.

Sometimes I want to do a mission, and sometimes I just want to screw around.

To do a mission, follow the game instructions and / or go to a target you see on the radar / gps gadget. When you get there you will meet characters who hire you to do missions such as rob banks and kill people. You earn money for each mission you complete.

You can the money to earn for anything from buying guns and ammo to having sex with hookers to investing. Missions get harder as the game progresses. You can complete different missions in different orders sometimes.

If you don't want to do a mission, you can just mess around in the game by stealing cars and driving them around. You can also go boating, off-roading and flying and there are some cool locations to visit. The world is very rich. You can even watch TV and and listen to the radio both of which, are hilarious and worth it.

If you drive around you can run people over or cause havoc. When this happens the cops come after you. Out running them is fun and sometimes easy. If you shoot back it can also help you to get away but usually your wanted-level will go up which means more cops come after you.

One thing I loved to do in Vice City and in GTA 4 was to cause chaos by blocking off road areas and crashing cars into other cars. You can also summon things like endless firetrucks and ambulances to locations via your cellphone to cause even more traffic nightmares. As things get out of control a car may catch fire. When it blows up it sets off a chain reaction causing other cars to blow up.

The fun in this kind of thing is the physics. Everything is solid and has gravity.

That's pretty much all I ever did on GTA4. I played about two levels of missions, then got bored and frustrated...then just drove around and jacked vehicles (and flew the helicopter a few times). :1orglaugh

I was stuck on waiting for Lester to call me back for a mission earlier and spent a good two hours screwing around. Taking a break to get some work done, but I'll be back at it later. :)

This is kind of off topic, but when I saw that they brought back RAMPAGE mission, I about pissed myself. They introduce it, so cleverly. This game gets better and better.

Go to the strip club and get a lap dance. Get the flirt meter to the top and the girl will ask if she can go home with you.

Even though I've never liked a Rockstar game (more of a Naught Dog fan), I've been messing around with GTA5 for a few days. The scale of the world is staggering for a sandbox game. I spent my first couple of days downtown, and just realized I can drive to the desert, and spent some time messing around on an ATV I jacked. Fun.

I've barely even scratched the surface in actual missions and I'm always broke when I play as Franklin. How can I get some quick cash? I also need to get practiced in the fine art of losing the cops.

I noticed the dialogue and acting is trademark bad as most Rockstar games, and I can't stand listening to the characters gab in car rides. I also think Rockstar goes a little overboard with the cursing and trying to be as audacious/offensive as possible. If they're going to try to show some balls, then at least have a softcore porn scene when I put in the work to take a stripper home -- instead of showing an exterior shot of the house and hearing moans. Why not go for it and show a sex scene?

But mostly I'm liking it so far, and waiting for something great to develop.

You mean, the bare tits and ass at the titty bar weren't enough for you???
If you are broke as Franklin, you aren't playing the missions. You start with
bullshit work, like driving a tow truck but by the time you meet Michael, you
should be lightweight ballin'. When you pull your first heist, you'll have money
to burn. You can also rob people in the hood or rob businesses. Those random
question marks are pretty fun and usually provide quick cash. USE YOUR CELLPHONE!
Hookers always have cash on them. Slap one up a bit and get her to break bread!

Losing the cops can be challenging in open areas like the freeway. Try city areas
with lots of alleyways. The alleys are key in losing the po po.

Now that I've laced you with some game, go do some missions!!! :thumbsup

I see what you mean about Franklin. It's tough to get really paid until he gets hooked up with Mike's crew. I loved the introduction to Trevor, and had a blast living in his world for a couple of days. He;s my new favorite video game character. I was laughing my ass off when I fired the game up yesterday, and when you start in his trailer, he's washing his face in the sink. I just got set up in the cousin's apartment before I quit last night.
