PETA fucked up

http://www.rustedpuffin.com/massbig.gif

Now they got the ADL and the vast majority of Jews pissed at them for "trivializing" the "holocaust".

Its gonna be fun to watch the lefties duke it out. Special Interest group versus Animal Liberation. Good stuff.

Fletch XXX 03-01-2003 04:48 AM

Vegans in general are just funny things, especially the militant ones. Heh.

[Labret] 03-01-2003 04:50 AM

Everytime I meet one, I am fascinated and I quiz them to see how deep their bullshit runs.

Are they half asses? Are they lacto vegans? Are they HARDCORE, is it on moral grounds? The shit you hear is mind blowing, that whole scene is insane.

KRL 03-01-2003 04:51 AM

Maybe try looking at it from the animal's perspective.

quiet 03-01-2003 04:53 AM

my ex girlfriend had a couple of vegan friends. the amount of fucking energy put into making sure everything is 100% - scary.

eating shouldn't be that complicated.

Plants are living things as well, and they are more defenseless than animals. Humans should just quit eating, most of us are too fat as it is.

I understand the idea behind the want for animal compassion.

Lookit. We take these critters, pen them up, shoot them full of hormones, feed them in a trough, let them live their lives in complete confinement and then...

we, stun them with a shock gun, slit their throat, let the blood drip down till the're dead and then we slice em up for consumption.

I mean come on. We are the ones who made these animals into creatures who could never exist on their own. we owe them at least some kind of dignity.

I'm not against the eating of meat. I mean what are we gonna do? Set all the pigs, cows and chickens free?

Just the same. We could at least give them a better life by buying meat products that are "free range". free range means they at least get to get outside and graze around and sniff the air and live a life.

Really? Since when? Try living your life in a cage the size of your body and I'd think you'd have a slightly different opinion.

Unfortunately, the food chain is the food chain in life. The big eat the small. That's just the natural order.

However humans took the food chain and made it their own. What we do to animals in the course of producing food is atrocious in most cases. What we do to them in the name of scientific research isn't the holocaust but is in that realm for sure.

eroswebmaster 03-01-2003 05:12 AM

Okay let me ask you something...I understand the whole free range issue, but come on...give me a break.

When's the last time you've seen an animal you eat actually out playing in the fields.

Take a look at a herd of cows, they know their existence is solely to end up on the menu at McDonald's. This is why they never even hang out together...don't want to get too attached to Elsie she might be next.

Ever see a cow just take out across a field and run gleefully? How about a chicken?

I haven't.

I see it all the time on the highway into my hometown. Cows and bulls grazing in fields.

They DO have a social life. In fact, bulls are by nature, homosexual. They prefer the sexual company of males until the females go into heat.

What? You think animals have NO social order? Of course they do. You are not eating unthinking creatures.

I always thought the animals I'm eating are already dead. Now you've got me wondering what the steaks in my freezer are "thinking".

Sure, free range is fine until you see the prices jump. Woohoo! Aunt Jamima won't be able to afford fried chicken for the family anymore!

We are at the top of the food chain... DEAL WITH IT!

cherrylula 03-01-2003 01:02 PM

Save a potato, eat a chicken instead. Plants have feelings too.

In fact, there is half an onion in a plastic baggie in my fridge right now, which has started growing little stalks out of the middle....creepy considering we ate the other half already.

Mother Nature is at the top of the food chain. Without her making things happen we're all fucked. No rain no crops no crops no food, etc.

Does Mother Nature have thoughts and feelings too?

CDSmith 03-01-2003 01:18 PM

Better stop drinking water too. Water contains micro-organisms, and they have a perspective too... they need protecting as much as any other living being.

How far do we take this animal rights crap? I'm all for humane treatment, but fuck.

I was planning on having leftover chicken & shrimp stirfry, but I'm beginning to feel like popping a few steaks on the grill. Not sure what's come over me.

Of course not! It was another American propaganda stunt to make all the deaths of WWII seem worthwhile.

It would never work. The whole point of eating meat (aside from the taste) is to eat something fairly high on the evolutionary ladder. Might as well eat yogurt as eat a vegan.

49thParallel 03-01-2003 02:00 PM

More fuel for the fire:

What else do we produce with the hearts, kidneys and pituitary glands? The horns, hoofs, toenails, skulls and intestines? How about the "paunch material" undigested stomach contents:

Crayons, floor waxes, antifreeze, matches, cellophane, linoleum, cement, photographic paper and weed killers.

And you thought this stuff was only used in hotdogs....

Warden 03-01-2003 02:31 PM

All meat eaters should hunt at least once in their lives. To include kill, clean and cook the animal. I love these people who say they could never hurt another living creature while they are cutting into their juicy porterhouse. And yes, I eat meat and I do hunt.

Mr.Fiction 03-01-2003 02:47 PM

PETA loves the attention. PETA knows how to turn a few dollars worth of ads into a few million dollars worth of ads, that's for sure.

According to the articles, the PETA guy who came up with the idea of the ad campaign is Jewish and his family lost people in the holocaust.

cherrylula 03-01-2003 03:00 PM

AOLGuy 03-01-2003 03:40 PM

I am vegan, and fairly hardcore about it. I was vegetarian for 7 years, and now vegan for a year.

No, I will not freak out if I accidentally consume something animal-based. Nor will I preach or talk shit to meat-eaters.

I just prefer to eat that way, and I have found it makes me feel healthier... and after you read enough, you can't get certain shit out of your head... meaning that when I have considered consuming something dairy, for instance, I get a physical reaction and mental one.

I like cooking a lot. I like not being lazy and just eating the simple, mass processed foods that I can get at any of the hundreds of eateries near my house.

Yes, there are some times where my choices are limited when I go out and travel, but ultimately it makes me realize a very important point: it's just food--it isn't love or even money.

I can eat anything vegan and get nourishment, and whining about "oh, well I can't eat this or that, so I could never be vegan," would make me feel like one of the weak-minded masses.

All I need do is remember the obese people I knew when I was going through my hardcore workout phases. I would mention how I cut out fat and they would say things like "well I couldn't give up mayoinaisse" or "you need cream cheese." And those lazy fat fucks wonder why nobody desires them, but I digress...

(note: I am overweight, always have been--but it would A LOT worse if I just gave up and ate whatever).

However, I make no secret that I am in this business and do pornography. Yep - exploiting humans rather than animals. I feel I am balancing the scales a bit.

At least the girls who do this choose to get into it--but damn me and my conscious, because I occasionally am not nearly as shrewd as I could be with the desperate types who call me.

AOLGuy 03-01-2003 03:47 PM

oh, and just to rebunk some of the other stuff posted here:

I get more protein from supplements than most meat eaters... when I was lifting weights I saw dramatic increases and it was simple to maintain.

As for hunting, if you can kill it yourself, go for it. I think that kicks ass. It also shows a certain air of respectability that most meat eaters lack. If you can kill and prepare it, and be cool with it, eat whatever you like. Get 95% of the population in a room with a chicek and a knife... let's see if they could kill it, let alone clean and prepare it.

Me? Fuck, I have trouble hitting anyone (outside of sex)...

Besides, know what kind of results I get when I meet a girl, hit it off, and have some good flirtation going on and they say "so you don't eat any meat?" and I can respond with "the only flesh to touch my mouth in recent years was both human and female."

Next thing they're saying how curious they are how a vegan guy's semen would taste...

The Bible says "Teach a man to fish..." - because it's ok to eat fish - it doesn't say anything about a compassionate "thank you" before you gut them.

"dignity" is a relative term - it doesn't apply to animals. It might YOU fell better - but the cows and pigs don't know any differently because they have no point of reference.

NOW.... pass the fucking steak !!

what do you do with those canine teeth in our mouth that are there to eat meat with?

I don't understand how going against the "nature of the beast" and not eating meat as the human animal was intended to do - can be good for you?

:2 cents:

CDSmith 03-01-2003 05:12 PM

Sorry.... if I can't share and enjoy a simple barbecue with a girl, and carve into a thick juicey steak with her, watch the juices mixed with barbecue sauce run down her chin, then she's history.

I want a woman, not a picky prissy high-maintenance never happy bitch.
