Last night at the burka club, Ahmad (left) and Hamaz (right) really dropped some bombs.. Amir in the back, not so much.

Lies. Former CIA director just said this weekend at a church in DC that the terrorists prefer Gmail.

Gmail = Google. iPad = Apple. Android = Google.

That was a Galaxy Tab that has been chopped. I can tell by the pixels.

Shows how much you know. You can get gmail on your iPad. Or iPhone.

So there!

That's the new iMortar. Who said product innovation would die with Jobs!

MaDalton 09-16-2013 03:27 PM

maybe that will finally make the Apple stock go up..

crockett 09-16-2013 03:47 PM

On a more serious note.. I wonder if the CIA or someone actually wrote an app that allows them to pin point targets by GPS and some sort of mapping software. With the built in leveling sensors it would be entirely possible to do something like that, but it would likely make more sense to use a smart phone vs the full size iPad.

That would turn a very simple and common mortar system, into a very high tech device, that could be aimed very well.

You are the absolute king of snappy retorts, witty refrains, and sarcastic repartee. Those that follow your posts should bow in humility even attempting to quip at such a level. :2 cents:

That's what it looks like. As I mentioned above they could very well have a app that uses their gps cords and lets them select a target on a map then gives them the required angle the mortar needs to be set. Could also be just a very simple app that tells them the angle the iPad is at and they do the rest by basic aiming.

Isn't that what you primarily use in your office?

Accurate indirect fire requires the elevation of the firing platform, the elevation of the target, direction to the target from the firing platform, temperature, humidity, wind direction, and most importantly, a good forward observer.

A really good forward observer can get rounds on target in 2 shots. A first shot to see where the incoming round lands, then one for "adjust" to make corrections and verify it lands within effective range of the munitions... and then the real shit... called "fire for effect" when aiming is verified to be on target and its time to fuck shit up.

But fuckit these days who needs that shit we've got ipads.
