Streamate and Chargebacks / Refunds

Earlier this year I launched my first webcam whitelabel through Streamate and it took a while to get the ball rolling but ultimately I came up with my own promotion strategy which was fairly effective and the signups followed.

Between July and throughout August there was a lot of charges being made by my referrals and I'm not sure if it was one person or multiple but to avoid confusion here lets just call it one person. In total there were about $2000 of charges over about 75 sessions during this period of time and I would earn 30% through the Rev Share program. Needless to say I was absolutely thrilled when I first discovered the records of these charges especially since I had been putting in work towards promotion in my very limited spare time since I already have a full time job and this is a side gig etc etc... but it looked like my strategy was working and I would just scale it up from here.

So here's the bad news for me...

Last night as I'm going through my routine check at the end of each pay period, I found that all $2000 charges had either been charged back or refunded.

Somehow the sum of these chargebacks and refunds was GREATER than all of the initial charges combined(?) which not only takes away the revenue I've earned but also leaves me at (-)$500 somehow. And I can't figure out how someone would be refunded for more than they paid...

I am thinking (and seriously HOPING) that all of this is due to an error or glitch with accounting or the system itself... but I'm not holding out any hope this is the case... I've been around long enough to know chargebacks are common in this business, but this is a little extreme.

This particular member had been using webcams on a daily basis at one point and spending lots of cash regularly on cams. Its not like all of these charges took place over 1 or 2 days... And this guy is trying to claim that HIS DECISIONS to enter premium chat with models on a daily basis was a mistake EVERY TIME?

Or perhaps the guy knew the whole time that he could enter as many premium chat sessions as he wanted because in the end he would illegitimately get his money back.

Since I'm relatively new to promoting webcams, I guess my question here is, have any of you guys had similar experiences? With Streamate or even other webcam programs?

It's happened to me before, not for 2k but in the hundreds. Not much you can do about it but keep promoting and getting more users.

Yeah I mean if I have to put it behind me and move on, it'll be tough to swallow as I said, but I will keep going...

But at the very least I'm hoping the negative balance is cleared and I'm back to $0.

Because if someone was charged $2k and refunded $2k, then I don't see how I would be down $500.

That's why I think something is up. Chargebacks and refunds are a normal part of the biz, I get that, but the bottom line doesn't make too much sense.

And I also have other active users using premium chat and I doubt they all did the same thing.

I almost think one of these users had a plan all along... whatever it was... and that is why he didn't mind spending so much time in pay per minute chat sessions... hopefully I can disassociate him from my account if he's doing that type of crap

Maybe they need a new accountant.

Refund and chargeback. Meaning: biller issued a refund and bank issued a chargeback on the same transaction is my guess

Did you contact streamate about the issue? With all of the transactions coming and going I highly doubt they even noticed your chargebacks. I suggest sending them a message first and ask them to take a look at it.

FreeWebCamcash.com runs a high PPS model and doesn't deduct for credits. Very high epc's.

If so, bank will fix within 2 weeks. Any normal bank, I mean....

A revenue share program is a 2 way street. If you've been paid out on funds that later charge back then you share the pain.
