Has the hahahahahaha tag been banned from the sigs?
 

I have noticed today that the hahahahahaha tag in my sig has been replaced by "hahahaha"
What the fuck is going on?
At first I thought someone has modified my profile, but the code of the sig was OK in the profile.

I have checked and i saw that other webmaster's sigs have been changed, the ones using hahahahahaha.

What is going on? Have I missed any posts about this?

huh. so the bbs -by default parses the word i*f*r*a*m*e into the code? that's wild.

Probably someone abused it and played sound or popped consoles or something else. Kids these days are pretty sharp.

I have worked quite a while for this sig and I'd hate to use the current text links.
Is there a special tag for Flash sigs?

It's common for a lot of mainstream boards to remove anything like "i-frame" or "script" related tags... it's a security provision.

Allowing things like that could get your board (or site) hijacked or worse. Also a very easy way to steal traffic, or boost click-thru's.

Up until 2001 things like img src="c:\con\con" would kill any IE user. Not to mention that i-frame's allow more than just HTML to be used within them.

it's pretty fucking obvious and logical why i-frames are disabled. it doesn't take a fucking genious to figure it out.

i could i-frame one of those sites that pops endless consoles until you end task IE or reboot. i could kill any post by doing that.

or i could i-frame someone elses sites in every thread with high views just to increase their traffic.

just use the embed tag for flash sigs.

i-frame is a potential exploit.

i-frame tags have been banned because you can i-frame a page with consoles, downloads, etc. on it that will pop when someone reads a thread.
