So I went to see Kiss two nights in a row at the Budokan in Tokyo way back in the 70's (I love YouTube sometimes):



The first night we had primo seats, about 20 rows back in the center. Great show, we could feel the pyrotechnics and our ears were ringing at the end.

Night two we had crappy seats, off to the side, and slightly behind the stage. The acoustics sucked, so the music was so-so (the best sound was coming from the stage monitors backwards towards us), but what a cool view of the show from behind the scenes (I've played as a guitarist in bands before, so I know a lot of the behind the scenes, but I've never seen anything like BTS at Kiss, well, except Pink Floyd, lol).

The band often took long breaks in between songs or solos to go backstage to fix their make-up or prepare a new prop (fake blood, etc). One of the most fun back-to-back experiences ever (way different experience seeing a band night-after-night consecutively - ask a Deadhead, if they can remember, hehe).

Had a very interesting conversation with someone that shoots often with condoms.


Was informed that out of 10-15 he uses, he always breaks at least one. I found it very interesting.

But if you think about, I don't think condoms are really designed for 2+hours of fucking. The average guy fucks for 5 min or less in real life.

I only talked to Ed a few times. A shoot with two guys usually equals 6 to 10 condoms for us. Nobody is required to wear the same one the entire shoot.

I've never had one break, but I am also standing there when they're putting it on and am not afraid to speak up about the proper way to do it. From my personal experiences, most people have not learned how to put a condom on correctly. I've seen some guys try to put them on in very interesting ways (like halfway unrolling it and stretching it to try to pull it on). Also shocked at how few know to squeeze the tip to get out as much air as possible as too much air can easily lead to breakage.

I use lifestyles lubricated condoms and so do my guys that are more 'normal' size

We also have boxes of Skyn non-latex condoms here for models that are allergic to latex condoms

The lube that works best with condoms is Gun Oil H20 water based lubricant

We have tried every brand of condom there and used every type of lube possible and this is what works best for us

But one particular person that you know, who is bigger than most and would not Bullshit a condoms failure rate, told me that he gets one failure per outing. When it happens He says nothing and discretely goes and gets another.


By no means, am I saying condoms are bad or should not be used, just saying that they are not designed for 2 hour stretches of sex. I think their failure rate is based on the average time men actually have sex. Its about 5 Min.



The scariest thing I heard was: A girl who I'm friends with, who did escort, and is a stickler for using condoms, tested, went on a work trip, came back, tested to shoot porn and tested positive for the "Clap".


Freaked her out so bad, that she quite escorting.


What ever the future in porn dictates, 14 day testing should also be one of the mandates.

I hate condoms.

If all whom were previously exposed to the HIV virus have tested negative, and everyone needs to start with a new test, then I'm sure the moratorium will likely be ended soon.

I absolutely agree that even with condoms, all performers should be tested, and their STD/HIV status should be known to all producers/directors/performers working with the industry tested performers.

My hope is that the FSC, or whatever group replaces the FSC, pushes for industry-wide standards.

It may come down to it, that companies will need to sign on to a set of industry standards, in order to be recognized as operating under the safety guidelines established by the industry watchdog organization.

If a company wants to operate outside of the established guidelines, the entire industry participating should be aware, and they should not work with them, as rogue behavior is a health and safety threat to all of those in the industry who agree to abide by the guidelines.

Performers and agents, directors and producers, and including PA's and MUAs. We need to agree to a set of guidelines, and hold everyone in the industry accountable, for our own health and safety.

It wouldn't be a bad idea or bad time to take on some of the other industry issues that keep getting ignored as well, but we need some sort of foundation which we can all agree upon as a starting point, and health and safety is a great place to start.

It's been widely mentioned that the industry will soon move to 14-day testing. That is a good thing, although it is an added financial burden for performers.

The watchdog agency for the industry should ensure that our performers are getting the best possible pricing. They represent a large block of regular business for participating draw stations, and approved testing companies, so we should be able to negotiate a good group rate (and pass the savings to the performers, not extra profits to the bureaucrats).

Personally, I would like to see the producers pay for testing. I pay for many of my performers tests already (in part to ensure that I am the first company they work with after testing negative). I declare the tests as a medical tax write-off, and the performers really appreciate it. :2 cents:
