Some rules. Ads must conform to what you see there or not very far from it. You can create a banner that is 490 x 91 pixels, however, it cannot have graphic nudity, it cannot flash repeatedly or have moving parts that our webmasters would find annoying. Above all, you must realize you are targeting webmasters, not surfers!

No, you're wrong, i bought 1 banner spot and not even 1 click. Linkspun is dead as a dead dog. People knows that if they use linkspun trades they will be penalized by Google sooner or later. But good luck and bump for vvvvv who is a nice guy.

58% bounce rate, average time of 2 and a half minutes, just over 1 click a day. Not bad if you ask me. I will advertise on there again starting next week!

I used to have some advertisement on linkspun, right now we don't need it but next year we'll reboot our campaigns with new products for webmasters and will probably purchase there again. Here are some numbers:

It's worth the money if you have a product and it also depends a lot on what banners / texts you can use.

I recommend trying them out, if you have a new product you want to "get out there". It's a good place to get some cheap webmaster traffic from :)

Buddy... You ordered the least costly type of advertising we have. It is the category pages and you ordered the least costly of those pages. They are so cheap because they don't get hardly any traffic when compared to the rest of the site. I told you before you ordered that you wouldn't get hardly any traffic from it. I tried telling you that those are more or less for sponsors to promote specific marketing to their affiliates or new affiliates. So you can buy ad space for $90 for an entire year! It is that low because you should not expect a lot of people to see the ad. But when they do, they are in a category page that is laser targeted to your ad. An affiliate might notice your July promotion or your XMAS promotion and switch up their advertising accordingly. (you can switch out ads on multiple month buys).

You got 1 month worth of ads for $12. You got 6 spots for that 12 dollars. That is $2 per spot for 30 days. That breaks down to .066 cents a day.

Your ad was for a cam sponsor. You wanted to place it on webmasters, dating,
solo girl, phone sex, girlfriend, babes. I told you that you should think about doing the webcam niche since it has to do with your ad. You wanted the cheapest rate and wanted those six categories.

I went ahead and made your ad run for 3 months since nobody else was using those spots.

In the end I told you not to expect hardly any clicks from ads in those spots. You wouldn't listen.

I will say it again... To sponsors spending $90 for a year to let their affiliates see their promotions and what not is only .24 a day. Four cents an ad spot. It wasn't designed for putting up a PlugRush ad and expecting to get affiliates who signup under you. It was created and priced for the ocassional click or just for info and they might not even click it. They just go, "Sweet, XMAS promo... Almost forgot to switch out the banners on my site."

Our other spots are priced and setup for doing what you were trying to do. But you thought you would try the least expensive option without really thinking it through even when I tried explaining it to you.

To put it into perspective you might understand:

Banner/Logo ads = Top of the page banner here at GFY. It will get you a lot of traffic and exposure.
Bold Red ads = Placing ads on Fucking Around, Sell Buy and Q&A and Traffic Trades. Not as much exposure as a top banner that is on every page, but still a ton of exposure. Priced less because of this...
Category Page ads = Having ads that only show up on Mainstream, Educational Series, Domain Auctions, Biz Services, Now Hiring, Content Theft and You. Obviously those forums get a lot less traffic than the entirety of GFY. Same thing for LinkSpun or any other site. So buying ads on those would be pointless if you are looking for massive clicks. Also, if you did you should have them targeted to the specific forums topic. Domain escrow services in the Domain forum...
