what friggin seo tactics still work ?
 

I need mad link juice, that works...and doesn't penalize our sites.

sooo tired of trying people out...that have their websites looking all super flashy and special like i'm guaranteed to have good results....only to have crap, or be penalized.

Do backlinks even work anymore ? these latest friggin penguin updates have been truly ruining my business.

white-hat tactics regarding making articles and crap regarding our sites...only seem to work for the first month...before my positioning (in google) slips back down again.

I want someone that'll work with me forever...and not just take the friggin money and run.

on 'blackhatworld' forum....so many threads there of people sounding like their about to orgasm because of all the good results...but i'm scared to even post there, or try them out....since we all know the risks of black-hat stuff.

And I don't have a friggin million dollars to be spending an arm and a leg either..

I just don't know which route to take.. but I need good results.

John, the best piece of advice I was given was from Infoseek themselves years ago (I called them and spoke to their tech department, among other SE services -- alta vista, etc). I was told, by every one of them, "focus on content, focus on user experience, and keep it all relevant, including your links".

ALL of them told me the same thing... they were all satisfied with their own results, they just had to keep updating because of the people trying to spam the results. I think this is the vicious cycle Google is experiencing -- they have to keep making changes to stay ahead of the neverending stream of spammers -- and the end result is legit sites getting sometimes caught in an ever widening net.

Proper SEO and relevance is a long term investment. In fact, I'd argue relevance is more important than it has been in the last several Google algo updates.

There's a lot of self-professed seo experts on all forums. My advice would be to focus on relevance as a priority, more especially with any links you buy. And yes, backlinks do work, and even moreso when the sites you are buying from are being linked from other quality sites and authoritative sites.

Also consider that you might get better traffic some place other thansearch engines, and that SEO might be hurting you.

Indeed backlinks are still working and "content is the king" but you need to be very very careful when you do this part of external optimization.

As robwod said: "focus on content, focus on user experience, and keep it all relevant, including your links" this technique, some brainstorm and patience will lead you to whitehat seo (if you know what is whitehat seo) this is the best technique that will keep you in the serps. Regarding blackhat and backlinks they will always work as long as you put your mind to work too when you start a seo campaign that includes blackhat, if you just start and spam all the web with crappy content and comments it will not work especially for high competitive keywords (most of us target high competitive keywords to get high volume of traffic :D ). From my experience tiered link building works very good, for example.. start by making some general anchor text backlinks (about 1.000 - 2.000) with a automated tool wait about 1 week then get about 50 -100 homepage backlinks WITH LOW OBL AND LIMITED SPOTS from some old and active sites in your niche with your main keyword as anchor for 1 year (you could buy this type of links for a year or so, be careful on what domains you buy links, most of the sellers have offers with domains that are dead in terms of seo) after this make a good amount of backlinks tier2 and 3 to this domains. You will last long enough in serps for a high competitive keyword (enough to get your money back + profit) with this kind of method, but eventually you will get penalised after a manual check from google dorks or lose rank if you dont continue to do this every 1 or 2 months (the tier2 and 3 backlinks). Try this kind of method and you will see it works, sometimes more than expected.

This is my opinion:

Make your visitors happy (get them to browse your website more and stay longer, make sure your pages load fast), if they are happy then SE are happy too. Stop doing link exchanges and sht. Try building one way links and don't spam them, make everything look natural.

What is the best way to build ADULT one way links? I understand mainstream SEO - that's part of my day job - but not being familiar w/ the adult sites landscape / culture, I'm a bit adrift in this area.
