Do you think NSA is tapping into biometric databases?
I was just reading a white paper on biometrics for authentication and it got me to wondering about all of the NSA revelations.
Right now, unless your fingerprints are already in the system, they cannot tell if a print they lift belongs to you. That is, of course, unless they have access to fingerprint biometric databases. Do you think they ever resort to that for identifying potential suspects when they've exhausted all other options? I used to think something like that would be preposterous because it is a matter of national security. With all of these fusion centers around the country now it would be very easy to discretely run something like that up the chain without the detective ever been the wiser. |
I'd have to say yes to that.

They read what we are talking instantly!

It was reveled a couple weeks ago that they(3 letter agencies) make up the chain of evidence after arrests and lie to the prosecutors as well as judges. A shorter list would be what don't they do? I think the we are seeing the brick wall at the back of the theater.

If they don't have it, they will have it soon enough.

New iphone has print recognition security feature, right? "Problem" solved.

Yeah, they're into everything. They spend all day looking at and analyzing all data at all times. It's so plausible, right? Kind of like ninjas rigging world trade center to implode with no one knowing about it.

Just a few weeks ago everyone was saying "that's why I use encryption wherever possible!" It turns out thay helped develop a lot of the commercial encryption of today and back doored it. At this point, if you are connected to the internet you are fair game. It takes anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes to scan a print database. NSA has roughly 30,000-40,000 employees and a budget of close to $11 billion a year. |
They're tapping into everything.
I just love how even 4 months ago, so many blowhards on this board would go "tinfoil" on anyone claiming the govt was spying on us. Thanks, Ed Snowden, for documenting what some folks have known for quite some time.:thumbsup |
