Arsenio Hall

Tonight is the 1st time he'll be doing late night tv in years. Back in the 90's his show was hot (some of you probably are to young to remember).

Back in the day he had Clinton on. Can't wait to see who will be on tonight.

That was usually a pretty good show back then.
Hope he keeps it as fun as it was, and he should do alright!

TurboAngel 09-09-2013 10:29 AM

I hope so we shall see.

kane 09-09-2013 10:36 AM

I remember watching him back then and thought his show was pretty good. It will be interesting to see how he does now with the increased competition in late night.

JockoHomo 09-09-2013 10:43 AM

Personally I don't see this ending well...

alex.missyouth 09-09-2013 11:36 AM

I loved him back in the day, dunno why he quitted, it's really great to know he's back. :)

Tom_PM 09-09-2013 11:39 AM

They've been advertising it since the beginning of summer, so I guess FOX sure thinks it's going to last at least a while.

He said in an interview it was to raise his son as he didn't want the kid in the lime light.

I heard mental breakdown and a rather nasty meth addiction issue.

amateurcanada 09-09-2013 05:54 PM

He was a pretty cool character then. Not too bad in celebrity apprentice as well even though he had some rage issues lol. Could be innnnnnnnnnnteresting!

pornsprite 09-09-2013 06:10 PM

I remember hearing he was worth like 350 million dollars at the time his show ended. He felt like his time was worth more money than advertisers where willing to pay so he folded up shop.

He wants back in now. I can't wait to see what happens.

That's what he would love people to believe, but the reality is his ratings were already tanking when he had the bright idea to have Louis Farrakhan on his show for the whole hour spouting his nonsense. There was so much advertiser and viewer backlash the show was canceled soon after...

Sarah_Jayne 09-09-2013 06:22 PM

As long as it doesn't clash with Daily and Colbert I will give it a try since I watched fairly regularly as a kid.

kronic 09-09-2013 06:24 PM

The only thing I remember the show worth watching for was Starr Parodi.

Tom_PM 09-09-2013 06:38 PM

Pretty funny. I mentioned how it's been advertised to death here, but I check my local listings and my local FOX channel airs Law and Order at that time. So I guess I don't even get his show here! Can't be a great start if they can't even get all the affiliates to buy it.

shimmy2 09-09-2013 07:55 PM

he's correct they blacklisted the show for him bringing Farrakhan on there. been pretty much a ghost in hollywood aside from a cameo on chapelles show (the cheese party skit) but yeah they ran him outta there when he was on top of the world. hope he does well for himself now

Tom_PM 09-09-2013 08:06 PM

So they're airing the show in my area after all and I have it on, but the audio was mute for the first 10 minutes. It just kicked in. Technical difficulties no doubt...:helpme

Sarah_Jayne 09-10-2013 12:08 AM

It's on CW

dyna mo 09-10-2013 12:51 AM

hah, thanks for the reminder, looking forward to this. i've pretty much enjoyed every production he's been a part of, his show, eddie murphy sidekick.

what was that return to america movie? hilarious.

poncabare 09-10-2013 01:33 AM

coming to americs

Captain Kawaii 09-10-2013 02:01 AM

I think Arsenio and Chris Tucker did blow before the segment. Both speed talking and babbling. Boring.

It will get better.

Def want to fuck the female keyboard player. Band is tight 2.

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 09-10-2013 02:18 AM

I hope he doesn't do that "Woop Woop" shit... :disgust

Has it really been 20 years? :1orglaugh

:stoned

It was on a local TV station here; not a network station like Fox.

Rochard 09-10-2013 07:33 AM

I remember the show being on years ago, but I don't remember it as being "hot". I didn't watch much; I didn't watch much TV then. Too busy working and fornicating.

Tom_PM 09-10-2013 07:37 AM

It was broadcast here by local Fox affiliate who had trouble with the audio until they took it out of HD mode. It reminded me of what I didn't like about his first show.. the way he doesn't use a desk just blows it for me somehow. I don't know, I like the traditional style of desk and chair and couch. Yes everyone does it, and yes I get trying to be different.. but.. everyone does it for a reason which is that it works and is comfortable.

Sarah_Jayne 09-10-2013 07:54 AM

The jokes were awkward but that was never his strong point. The interview parts were decent enough. Now see how it goes when then show has to become about more than him coming back.

Also, suggesting the show wasn't hot back in its prime is silly. It was huge.

_Richard_ 09-10-2013 08:09 AM

thanks for the update

A good drinking game would be to take a shot every time Chris Tucker says "great."

TurboAngel 09-10-2013 03:59 PM

Well it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be we'll see what tonight brings.

DWB 09-10-2013 04:06 PM

I was in his audience when I was 20 or so. Was a good time. His show was always fun.

freecartoonporn 09-10-2013 07:44 PM

Used to love his show when it was on back then, it was like a breath of fresh air, on the talk show scene:thumbsup

VanDahl 09-11-2013 06:59 PM
